Tris's POV:
I slowly open Crystal's door.
"You guys okay?" I ask.
Crystal throws her arms around me and begins sobbing.
"Mommy," she sobs.
A couple of tears escape from my eyes.
Noticing our sadness, Parker hugs us.
"Daddy woves us. He would never do anything to pwurpwosely hurt us," he says.
I hug him tighter.
"I love you both and so does your daddy," I say.
I pull back.
Tobias walks in and looks at Crystal.
"I'm--"
"Daddy," she says hugging him. "This is you. This is the real you."
He hugs her back.
"I'm sorry," he says.
Ashton barges in.
"I came as soon as I--"
I glare at him.
"I had nothing to do with him beating the children, Tris," Ashton says.
"But you had something to do with him beating me."
"Tris I'm--"
I look at Crystal and Parker.
"If anything happened to them... I would hold you responsible," I say.
A small hand finds its way into mine.
I look to see Parker smiling at me.
He just doesn't know what's going on.
"Get out," I say. "Please."
"Tris. I'm sorry."
"Just go."
Ashton turns and walks out
I hug Parker close to me.
"I love you both," I say kissing him on his forehead.
