Tris POV:

I've been lying awake for an hour. Crying.

My phone begins to ring.

It's Tobias.

"What?" I answer, my voice cracking.

"Tris, where are you?"

"Leave me alone."

"Tris."

I hang up.

He calls me and again. I decline.

Tris, plz tell me where you are -T

Tris? -T

Plz answer -T

Tris. -T

I turn my phone off and get up.

I leave Lillian and Luke a note and head out.

I walk.

I go back to my dorm room.

"Tris!" Christina yells.

My head is pounding and I'm still crying.

"Just leave me alone," I say and walk into my room.

I sob.

Tobias POV:

"She's here."

I almost choke on the water I'm drinking.

I run to Tris's dorm room.

"Tris," I say knocking on her door.

"Go away."

I open the door and walk over to her.

I look at her and she turns around.

Now her back is facing me.

I walk to the other side.

"Tris," I say again.

"You don't have to pretend you're not angry."

"I'm not angry. I'll admit I was shocked but never angry."

She begins sobbing.

"God, I was so stupid! One stupid mistake! And the baby got killed and it was all my fault."

I sit her up.

She refuses to look at me.

"Hey, look at me. Look at me."

Her eyes reach mine.

"It wasn't your fault. It was never your fault," I tell her.

"If--"

"No ifs, It wasn't your fault."

She holds onto me tight.

I kiss her temple.

"But it was--"

I cut her off again.

"It was dark and it was late but are any of those things your fault?"

She shakes her head.

"Did you want them to hurt you?"

Again she shakes your head.

"It wasn't your fault."

I kiss her and we pull back.

She lays on my chest until she falls asleep.

I stroke her hair and I soon find myself drifting off.
