Tris's POV:

I rub my now big abdomen as I sit on the bed.

"Do I really have to stay in bed?" I ask.

"The doctor said rest is good."

"But he also said exercise is good. So he's obviously confused," I say.

Tobias laughs and kisses my forehead.

"Mommy!" I hear.

I smile.

Crystal, Tobias, the baby, and I moved into the new house.

I mean even though the baby is inside of me, he or she is still a part of the family.

"Mommy, Daddy! You said you had to tell me something important," Crystal says running into my room.

"Yea," Tobias says.

He sits her on the bed.

"Crystal. You are going to have a little brother or sister," he says.

"Can I dress them up?!" Crystal asks excitedly.

"Maybe," I say.

She grins.

"I'm going to make a card for the baby," she says.

I kiss her forehead.

She runs to her room.

"Tobias, do you want a boy or a girl?" I ask.

He lays next to me and puts a hand on my abdomen.

"Any boy or girl would be just fine for me," he says.

I smile.

"You want a boy," I say.

"I do. But any girl or boy would make me happy and I will love them just as much as I love the rest of my family."

I kiss him.

----

Tobias and I walk to my gynecologist's office.

The receptionist asks,

"Tris Prior?"

I nod happily.

"Dr. Goode will see you now," she says.

Tobias and I walk in.

"Hello Tris," Dr. Goode says.

"Hello," I say extra happy.

"I see someone's happy," Dr. Goode says laughing.

I lay on the bed and the doctor rubs the gel on my stomach.

"Your baby is healthy, moving around a lot. Would you like to know the gender?"

"Yes," Tobias and I say at the same time.

"You're having a baby boy."

Tears of joy spring from my eyes.

"We are having a baby boy," I say crying into Tobias's chest.

He kisses my forehead.

"Tris Prior, get ready for the craziest five months of your life," Dr. Goode says.

"Male fetuses eat 10% more than female fetuses. That's where the expression, 'boy, I'm hungry," she says.

"I'm hungry already."

Dr. Goode laughs, "I'll print a picture of your developing boy and then you can be on your way."

She walks out.
