It was the day. The day that the three champions would be selected to compete. The Goblet of Fire was placed on a podium in front of the staff table, all houses were sat on their tables, as well as the other two schools and all the staff. Dumbledore made his way up to the Goblet and stood in front of it.
"It is time for the Goblet to make its decision, please everyone stay seated and quiet until the first champion is selected!" Dumbledore started then talked to Mr Crouch about the tasks for a few minutes until it was time. The first champion.
"And the champion selected for Durmstrang is.." he picked up a piece of paper that flew out. "Viktor Krum!"
The great hall was filled with cheers for Viktor as he made his way up to Dumbledore, shook his hand then went through the door to wait for the other champions.
"The champion for Beauxbatons is.." he got another piece of paper thrown at him" Fleur Delacour!"
She made her way past the cheers, up to Dumbledore then made her way into the champions room.
"Finally, the champion for Hogwarts will be.." he takes the final paper." Natalie Willow!"
You were in shock. Naomi and Brooklyn were cheering the loudest for you telling you to go up there until you were pushed up by Lee. You made your way up to Dumbledore with a bright smile on your face, shook his hand then went off to join the other champions.
Not long after, the three selected champions heard people yelling 'boo!" and 'he isn't even seventeen!' Then Harry Potter stumbled in.
"Harry? What are you doing here, only champions are allowed in here right now!" You told him and walked up towards the boy.
"That's why I'm here, I'm the fourth champion! The Goblet spat my name out like nothing, I didn't even enter Natalie, you have to believe me!" Harry looked even more confused as the others, he also looked really nervous. "Please"
"Of course I believe you, Harry, I know you would not be able to make it past the age line, Fred and George can't and that's with my help too!" You reassured Harry and gave him a hug. You weren't too sure on how exactly he got his name in but if he the Goblet chose him, then the decision was already made.
Time Skip
Weeks had passed and soon enough the first task was almost here, you had no idea what it could be though. You were being praised like some sort of God. Almost the entire school were more than happy to have you compete for them, that didn't really matter to you though. One of the only people that could be supporting you right now isn't even talking to you, that hurt you the most.
"Dragons." Harry approached you.
"What?" You were so confused already as to what Harry was talking about.
"That's the first task. Hagrid showed me dragons as the first task! Each champion will get an egg each to collect but we need to pass dragons, I saw Charlie there helping them get into cages." He filled you in about what had happened with the dragons.
"Harry, thank you for telling me this. I practically owe you my life, I had no idea what this task was going to be!" You thanked the boy and his cheeks started heating up.
"I think I should leave, good luck, Natalie!" Harry saw something or someone behind you and left you alone. As you turned around you saw someone you never expected.
Fred.
"Anything you need? You already made it quite clear that we should not happen, talking would only make things worse." You tried to avoid eye contact with him.
