Tears.

Hot, salty tears.

At first, George's body swayed gently. It was almost as if he hadn't heard the priest correctly.

His hands were slightly tremoring.

What?

Dream what?

Dream sentenced to death?

It can't be.

Dream was always there for George.

Always there to reassure him on things. Always there to be his duet partner. Always there to comfort George when he was upset.

Dream couldn't be taken.

His eyebrows furrowed against his pasty skin.

His lip shook quietly.

Why Dream?

His knuckles whitened.

His eyes screamed in rage.

Dream can't be taken from George.

Why did the Gods curse this upon them?

George was going to kill the priest.

George was going to kill his father.

George was going to destroy everything.

George's face festered into a fiery red.

His face scowled at the world.

Dream should have run away. Far away.

Dream's an idiot.

Everyone can burn in Hell for all George cared.

But, George could have helped Dream get out.

George could have stopped this from ever happening.

Maybe, if George never turned to Dream that fateful day, Dream would still be happy and free.

Why? Why was George so stupid?

He had practically just killed Dream.

Everything was George's fault.

George should be sentenced instead.

It should be George in Dream's spot.

George deserves to die, not Dream.

Take George, not Dream.

Take me! Take me instead. I deserve it more than he.

George collapsed on the floor, clutching his chest in pain.

Tears flowed down his face and onto the terrain below.

George deserves all of this.

It was his fault. Just take George, not Dream!

Sadness emptied his stomach. His gut throbbed as the pain of constant sobs took a toll on his body.

His mind recounted all the times Dream's eyes looked into his own so lovingly. He remembered the times where Dream would giggle at Heaven's tricks. He recalled the moments when Dream was lost in a book as if he was transported into the book's reality.

Dream was George's world.

His wails caught the attention of the audience, which murmured in disapproval at the verdict.

The sobs echoed through the stadium.

All heads turned towards the small man clutching his chest on the floor.
