Huggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh.

..................................................................

We had gist as we drove home.

We were about to enter through the back door when we had footsteps.

"Ina Kuka je?(Where did you go?)" Malam asked.

"Malam. We......" He received a slap before he ended the statement.

"Wawa Kawai. Wai meke damunku NE?(Fool. What is your problem?). I am sure you know she is married already and you still took her out. He said with his face fuming.

"Malam we just......"  He rubbed the part that received a slap.

"You just what?  Dan Ubanka".

I was just looking at them with fright. I dare not look at his face because of fear.

"Ke Kuma(and you)". He looked at me.
Fear filled my heart.

I began shaking.

"Who asked you to go out?"

I couldn't reply. My face was down counting the floor. I didn't know that it is possible to count a mere floor.  just found out today.

"Baki ji bah?" He shouted at the top of his voice.

I looked at bro who is already covered in anger.

"Go to your rooms and sleep".  He ordered.

I ran to my room.

XX

"There is a call for you".
Khadijah handed the phone over to me.

"Who?"I asked.

"Ilham".

I quickly sat up.

"Hello Ilham".

"How are you, Salma?". She asked.

"Am fine"

"Are you okay?"

I looked at Khadijah and gave her a sign to excuse me.

"Am not fine at all. Finally, he got me married". I started crying.

"When?"

"Today. I'll be leaving this house next tomorrow".

"I know how you are feeling right now but Allah's choice is the best. Am sure the choice he made for you is right". She consoled.

"I am tired".  I wiped off the tears.

"It's destiny. We can't change it. We will come next tomorrow".

"Bye". I ended the call.

.......................................

I woke up to the songs of the bird. The weather is so sweet. The rays of the sun rays won't stop disturbing my sleep. I had turned and turned and turned but it won't stop.  I began to hear some noises. Looking up at the wall clock It was 12:30. I quickly jumped out of bed. I had a long shower. I wore a nice fitted gown.
I'm not a fan of Atamfa.

I walked downstairs. Everyone is done with breakfast so I had to go serve myself in the kitchen. Sister Aisha was dishing a plate.

"Hi sister". I waved.

"Hello". She came closer to me and kissed my cheeks.

"When did you arrive?"

"Since. I came to check on you immediately after I arrived but you were still sleeping and this food is for you". She stretched out the plate.

"Awwnnn... Thank you". I wanted to sit.

"No. Not here but in Hajiya's room". She left for the door.

I followed her.

I met with Hajiya and aunty bilki.

"Good morning". I greeted.

They all responded with a smile.

"Come here, my child". Hajiya said.
"We know what your dad did wasn't right and we can't change destiny". She inserted a spoon of rice into my mouth.

"Your mom is right. You must be a very good wife. A loving and caring wife". Aunty Bilki.

"Education on marriage". Sister Aisha reminded them.

"What's that?" I asked confused.

"Hajiya. I told you that she knows nothing". She looked at Hajiya.

"As a married woman, you need to know all of that". Hajiya said.

"You are all confusing me".

"A good wife is supposed to....." Then she stopped. "For example me. I wake up early in the morning, tidy up the house, and make breakfast. After that, I'll wake my husband up, and make sure he showers before breakfast. After breakfast, I accompany him to the door and pray for him". Sister Aisha explained.

I looked at her still confused.

"In the afternoon make sure you call him to ask about work. Start the preparation for dinner. Shower, do a little makeup, spray a lot of perf then wait for his arrival. Ask him about work again". Hajiya said.

"In the night after dinner. Watch a movie together. Make sure you are on something attractive and seductive. Make sure your husband sees every part of you". Aunty Bilki.

That sentence made me choke.

"Are you okay?" Hajiya passed me a glass of water.

"We have to tell you all this being your elders". Hajiya said.

"My daughter your husband say is final. You must not argue with him". Aunty Bilki added.

"I'll teach you some scopes later in the day". Sister Aisha smiled.

Hajiya fed me all the food then Mai guaran Jiki came.

By 6 I was informed that they have brought lefe. I just hissed.

At night.
In the general living room.

"Babe". My Brother hugged me. "I'm gonna miss you".

"Me too". I hugged him back.

Ammar has been disturbing his mom. He has been crying.
So I carried him and made him sleep.

"Sign of a good mother". Sister Aisha said.

I laughed.

"Sister. I don't want you to leave. If I had my way I'll have shot Mubarak with a gun". Khadijah said.

I furrowed my eyebrows.

I lay on my brothers chest as sister Aisha left for bed and Khadijah continued chatting.

"Hell knows what I'll face at his house". I cried.

He wiped off my tears with his palms.

"I'm your brother whenever there is discomfort you let me know. Don't even stress yourself. You are a brave girl. Remember?"

"I'm not brave bro. At all. I promise"
.
"Ssh! Don't say that. You are. Just one call and I'll be there".
I smiled at him.

Malam called for us again. This man and meetings.

We were all on the floor.

"Gobe zaa Kaiki. Ina so ki Kama kanki kiyi biyyaya. I want you to be a loyal wife. Never give him a reason to complain. Never do what he dislikes.  You can see how your mom respects me. Dan ubanki whenever he calls to give me any complaints sai na cire Miki hakora. Kina saurara?"

I nodded my head.

"And again don't forget that Jannah lies under his feet. That's all I have to say. Everyone should go to bed. It's late .He left. Hajiya followed him.

My mood changed.
