Salma's pov.
I rested my head on the pillow.

Closing my eyes, my phone began to ring.

"Hello". I spoke calmly.

The other person began to cry.

"Hello. Who is on the line?" I aked.

"It's Aliyu." He said.

I quickly sat down.

"What? Brother Aliyu." I called out.

"I'm sorry dearest, I'm sorry I couldn't help you. I couldn't protect you from that coward husband of yours. "

"Brother". I began to cry. "It's not your fault. You are not in any way faulty. "

"How are you?"

"I'm fine brother. "

"Why don't you come to the USA?"

"Brother it's not possible. I can't. Don't you worry I am in safe hands. "

"What will be safer than being with your brother? "

"Brother. It's my destiny. We can't change what has happened." I explained.

"Are you lecturing me? "

"No". I smiled. "We are just fine." I explained.

"Did I just hear we?" He stopped crying. "Are you pregnant?" He asked.

"I am". I replied.

"For how long?"

"Months. "I replied.

"You have to abort that bastard child. That marriage must end."

"Brother, the baby is still my child. Concerning my marriage I don't know what will happen."

"Your choice. But always take care of yourself. I'll be in Nigeria as soon as I can. Keep me updated on anything new. Don't forget to tell me when you need anything. "

"Okay. "I replied.

"Bye. "

"Bye. "I ended the call.
I placed the phone on my chest as I lay my head on the pillow. I dozed off.

The next day.
I was passing through the corridor and then met with that same lady who teased me yesterday.

"Good morning sister. "I greeted.

"Sister? Sorry, but I'm not your sister. I am 'PINKY' ."

"Okay pinky." I smiled.

"Good." She left.

I walked behind her. I guess she is also coming for lunch.

I met Sir Shagari in the dining room.

"Hi. "I smiled at him.

"Hello." He replied.

An empty chair was beside him. I pulled out to sit when Pinky grabbed them from my hands. "My favorite space." She gave a short smile.

"Oh. My daughter. You can sit beside me." Mum said.

We began eating. I can see Pinky eyeing me but I don't care. I survived Ammi's wahala so hers will be less. I smiled in my heart.

"Do you mind going to an ice cream shop after Asr?" Sir SHAGARI asked all of us.

"Yes. That will be nice. Let's go to Mint choco." I shouted.

Pinky looked at me surprised.
"Do you know Mint chocolate?" She asked.

"Nope. Have heard of the name somewhere. Maybe my rich classmates." I lied.
