"Wala ka bang pasok?" Naitanong ko matapos niyang makabalik galing sa comfort room. Nailipat ko na din yung pinapanood sa Netflix at commedy na ang palabas. Nakakahiya talaga!!
"Wala na. Hanggang 1pm lang class ko today e." Kumuha ito ng betamax tsaka sinubo. I smiled because of that.
"Hindi ko in-expect na kumakain ka ng street foods." Naitawa ko bago nagpatuloy na kumain.
"It's one of my favorites." He said smiling.
"Your favorite?" Nagulat ako. Mukha kasing imported lang ang mga kinakain niya.
"Bakit ba gulat na gulat ka? In fact, I am capable of eating it three times per day, every day." He laughed.
"Woa." All this time, akala ko ako lang ang ganon. My friends also eat this type of food, but not to the same extent as I do na tipong kaya kong araw-arawin katulad ni Cliff.
"What's the big deal? Why are you so shocked?" He asked chuckling.
"Because I also like this a lot!" Excitement could be heard in my voice.
"I know."
"You do?"
"Ofcourse. I know because I like you." Kumindat ito sa akin. I appreciate the fact that he is aware of it. Little things do matter, you know.
Nagpatuloy kami sa panonood habang kumakain. Paminsan-minsang tumatawa dahil sa palabas.
"Kung galing ka sa school bakit hindi ka naka-uniform? Pumasok ka ba talaga?" Tinawanan niya muna ang tanong ko bago sumagot.
"Galing na kasi ako sa amin kanina. Naglakad lang ulit ako papunta dito."
"Naglakad? Last time nakita din kita sa Convenience Store. Saan ka ba talaga nakatira?"
"You seem to be really curious about my address, huh?" Ngumiti ito ng nakakaloko.
"Oh, nevermind." Nakanguso kong sabi.
"I lived here." Anito.
"In this condominium? Anong room?"
"Woa, I don't know that you are that interested." He even emphasized pronouncing the word "that."
"Cliff!"
"Easy, pretty." He laughed once again. "I lived three buildings away from this condominium."
"Three buildings away?" Nagbilang ako sa isip ko. "Do you mean the modernist property nearby? Do you live there? That huge? How shocking! How many people are in your family then?!" I can't convey how large my eyes were. He laughed again.
"Our complete family resides there. My dad's two sisters, my mom's twin sister, all nine of my cousins—aside from me and my younger sister—from both my parents' grandparents. Since our entire family lives there, it is apparent that it was that huge." Nagkibit ito ng balikat.
That explains kung bakit nasa tila mansyon na bahay ito nakatira. For me, it's good na magkakasama silang buong angkan nila. I'm now contemplating how many electrical bills they could generate in a month, how many meals would need to be prepared for the entire family, how much money each family would share, and all other things. It's adorable in my opinion, especially because there are so many children. Palagay ko, hindi tumatahimik sa mansyon nila.
