She wanted to climb the tree because she was a kid and that's what kids did. It felt natural. Put your foot on one branch. Pull yourself up. Then put your foot on another. Repeat. There was no reason to stop. As long as there were branches then there was another place to go. Higher and higher, until she could no longer see the ground.
It was time to go home, but the girl didn't know how. Up was easy. Down was another story. So she jumped, flying through the fluffy clouds until her eyes popped open against the pillow.
