They called him the cardboard knight, for that was the most fitting name to describe him. He was a warrior and noble swordsman, covered head to toe in his beige armor he constructed himself from leftover boxes around the house. He thought it would protect him for the challenge ahead, but his foes, the neighborhood children, came prepared. They all had guns of water and sprayed their enemy from every angle. His defenses were useless when wet. The armor grew soggy and crumbled in his palms. He was exposed. Vulnerable. Naked. And that was the end of the cardboard knight.
