"The cat killed a demon," the kids called from the kitchen. "Come look!"
"It's probably just some weird rodent or bug," I said.
"No! It's a real demon!"
I sighed and entered the room to find a dead thing with horns, fangs, and lifeless red eyes hanging out of the cat's mouth.
