An eclipse is always an event to behold. It's marked on the news. School children get excited with special glasses made for looking directly at the sun. It's a lesson in science and a chance to marvel at being one with the universe. Together, the world looked up, eager to witness the celestial bodies at work. The moon passed in front of the blinding star and everyone gasped at the sight of it. Then they waited for the moon to move on... But it never did. It stayed there, blocking the sun for minutes, then hours, then days, then forever.
