Months later

"Alright, everybody pack up everything quickly. We've got to keep moving, the herd caught up," Rick said quietly rushing around the cabin. our clothes were soaked and we had to dry them by the fireplace but they were dry now. We ended up changing back into them instead of wearing our spare clothes. Our spare clothes were necessarily needed so we ended up leaving them behind. We all rushed out the back door, killing a few walkers as we went. Everybody scrambled into their cars. We were running low on fuel but we were all right.

We didn't drive long, just enough time to get us ahead of the herd before we stopping. I climbed out of the car quickly.

It wasn't very fun to constantly be on the run. Trying to beat a herd before they caught up and killed you. Hoping nobody died of natural causes and came back as a walker in our sleep.

"We got no place left to go," T-dog said while laying a map out on the hood of one of the cars. I was glad it had warmed up, and if anything, we were always hot.

"When this herd meets up with this one, we'll be cut off. We'll never make it south," mom said pointing at different spots on the map.

"What would you say? That was about 150 head?" Daryl asked leaning on the car we all stood by.

"That was last week. It could be twice that by now," dad said. Looks like we really were In a pickle.

"See anything?" I asked walking over to the car who stood a car or two away from us on watch.

"Nothing. Which I guess good," Carl shrugged.

"I guess," I shrugged.

"Hey, Rori. You know how my mom is due to give birth soon?" Carl asked looking up at me for a second.

"Yeah. What about it?" I asked.

"What do you think the gender is gonna be? I'm thinking a girl," Carl said.

"A girl? I was thinking a boy," I laughed.

"Maybe I'll be able to prove you wrong then you won't be able to say that your always right," Carl said with a smile.

"Nah, I'll always be right. Even if I'm wrong about this gender, I'm right about everything. Your not," I gently nudged Carl while laughing lightly.

"In your dreams," he replied.

"I don't need to dream about it. It's already true," I said with a smirk. Carl rolled his eyes at me.

"Hey, guys! Hurry! We found someplace that might be safe," Rick said stepping out of the forest. Carl and I shared a smile, grabbing our guns out of the car. We left our bags in the cars because they were basically empty. We were really just carrying empty bags at this point.

"Come on, quietly," Daryl said, rushing everybody in the forest. We walked along railroad tracks before seeing the place Rick and Daryl were talking about. It was a huge prison with quite a few walkers, but we could take those walkers out easily. Rick lead everybody down the hill and to the walls of the prison. We made sure to stay in a circle, protecting Lori while killing walkers.

"Watch the backside," T-dog called over his shoulder.

"Got it," Lori nodded as Rick cut a small hole into the prison's fence. Just enough for us to squeeze through.

"Hurry. Hurry," Rick said as I climbed through the hole, Lori following. T-dog came in next with the one bag we had. Rick followed. As soon as everybody was inside, dad and Daryl used some wire we found and ties the hole back up. No walkers were getting through. We were safe right here, in between two fences. The walkers came up on either side of the fences but we ran past them. They couldn't get us in here anyway. Daryl pushed open a big metal door and we arrived at the front of the prison.

"It's perfect. If we can shut that gate, prevent more from filling the yard, we can pick off these walkers. We'll take the field by tonight," Rick said. I looked at the field full of walkers and the open gate. We definitely need to shut that gate.

"So how do we shut the gate?" Grandpa asked Rick.

"I'll do it. You guys cover me," dad said from beside me and mom.

"No. it's a suicide run," mom was quick to argue. I nodded, agreeing with her.

"I'm the faster," dad said.

"I'm the littles and I'm quick on my feet as well," I said.

"No. I don't want another incident like at the well," dad said.

"No, Glenn, Maggie, and beth draw as many as you can over there. Pop 'em through the fence. Daryl, go back to the other tower. Carol, you've become a pretty good shot. Take your time. We don't have a lot of ammo to waste. Hershel, you, carl, and Rori take this tower," Rick said pointing at each of our designated spots. I nodded and ran into the tower with Grandpa and Hershel. As we reached the top, I looked down and saw everybody doing what they were supposed to. Dad, mom. and aunt Beth was shouting to get the walker's attention and killing them.

Everybody began to shoot any walkers that got close to Rick. The gunshots around me made my ears ring.

"Light it up!" Daryl yelled as soon as Rick was safe. I looked at Carl and laughed, shooting more walkers. We all worked together to kill the walkers off until there were no more walkers. Just bodies.

"Yes!" Ic heered giving Carl a high five. We made our way out of the tower, meeting Daryl and Carol once we exited the tower.

"Fantastic," Carol laughed.

"Nice shooting," Daryl complimented her with a rare smile.

"You okay?" Carol asked a heavily pregnant Lori.

"I haven't felt this good in weeks." I smiled at Lori as I walked past her.

"We haven't had this much space since we left the farm," Carol laughed running into the open field. I laughed along with her while holding Carl's hand.

"This is amazing!" I cheered to Carl and everybody else.

"Wahoo!"
