The buzzing of Dreams alarm woke him up, yet again, like every other day.

The alarm clock read 5AM, as usual, and Dream continued his normal routine of getting dressed and eating breakfast before heading to the rink.

His dad was never home, repeatedly busy searching for new skaters to join his "establishment", always too busy to spend time with Dream outside of hockey practice, and his mother was usually just talking to the other hockey moms.

So Dream finished his dull wholegrain toast and made his way outside, to be greeted by his chauffeur "Monty" who was ready, as usual, to take him to his fathers rink, for early practice before the rest of the team arrived.

The car ride was the same tedious trip as always. Dream eventually reached his destination, unlocked the front doors, and made his way to the changing rooms. The thing Dream didn't know, was that today would be different, today, would be the start of something new, something that would completely change his perspective on things, and give his life a fresh start, though he was still, personally, oblivious.

Therefore he, very lazily, made his way to the stands, where the first strange thing happened, the rink lights were still on.

Dream didn't think much of it, since it could have just been the janitor from last night who had forgotten, so he shrugged it off and continued tying his skates.

But what Dream didn't know was, that on the other side of that rink, and young boy was tying his skates as well, and this boy was about to change Dreams life, for the better.

The sound of the gate latch opening startled Dream slightly, as he was the only other person with keys to his dads rink.

"HEY, WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE"

He shouted, as the what seemed to be a young boy trod out on the ice.

The skater did't seem to notice, so Dream sat back down, and decided to watch, instead of interrupting.

The other boy made his way to the middle of the rink before striking a somewhat illusive pose, figure skater, of corse. He should have made the connection by the back pants and matching turtleneck.

The skater set off, and Dream couldn't help but stare in awe. The way his drifted around on the ice, light as a feather, and the way his arm movements complimented his every step. Dream couldn't help but watch, locked in some sort of wonderers state.

After a while the skater stopped, and just stared at the opposite wall, and it was at this moment Dream realized, he had to make a move, before it was too late.

He made his way down the nearest gate and quickly stepped onto the ice, the skater heard his skates meet the ice, and darted in the opposite direction.

"NO, PLEASE, WAIT!" Dream said trying not to scare the brunette off.

He stopped in his tracks, and turned around as Dream neared him, almost as if he was surrendering.

"Hey, how'd you get in here?" Dream asked, genuinely curious, still trying to make sure he sounded pure, as to not scare the boy off.

The brunette started answering, but the words faded out as Dream seemed to lose himself in the boys glare.

The way the boys eyes focused on his own, and his pale skin glimmered under the harsh rink lighting.

"... but long story short, our mothers are friends and she lent me some keys" Dream was pleasantly surprised by his british accent.

"Oh, well... what's your name?" Dream said, while trying to remain focused.

"Umm... George, what about you?" George said looking directly into Dreams eyes.

He shook his head slightly to regain his concentration.

"Mines Dream"

"Really... or is that some nickname?" He said covering his mouth while laughing a bit.

"Well, I don't really use my real name that much, so Dream is what people call me instead, become my real good friend, and I'll tell you my real name" He winked at the boy whilst turning around and pointed to the back of his hockey jersey, where DREAM stood in large block letters, with the number 16 even larger underneath.

"Well ok, number 16, I'll accept your challenge" He said still laughing, and blushing at the blondes behavior.

"Oh is that what we're doing now, stupid names. I see, British boy" He answered back with an idiotic smirk spread upon his face

"wow really" George answered blushing slightly.

"Sorry to say it, but hockey practice starts soon, so if you don't want my dad/coach to be pissed at you, I would advise you to hurry back to the locker rooms" Dream said genuinely trying to help this boy.

"Oh thanks"

"But meet me in the café at 4pm today, I wanna get to know you better"

"Ok, Number 16" He said slowly skating towards the opposite gate again, only leaving what sounded like a small laugh behind.

"See you later british boy" He said rubbing the back of his neck, slightly sad they couldn't continue.
