There Dream was sat at his desk, joining the Zoom class, 8:00AM sharp. He had always hated school days, skating was just much more fun, or at least when his dad wasn't involved.

Skating used to be Dreams passion, he would sit in his classroom, at the local public school, and stare out the same filthy old window, thinking about new ice hockey plays, for his next junior match. It was when he was about 14, when his dad realized his talent for skating, and then recruited him on the team, since then, skating just hadn't been as fun, no more school, no more parties, no more friends.

But George seemed to bring that happiness back.

Playing ice tag yesterday, had reignited that spark, which Dream thought he had lost.

For the first time in a while, he was actually excited about going back to the rink tomorrow.

The Zoom calls were dreadful, and the only thing getting him through the day, was the 3 day old monster energy on his desk, and seeing George on his screen.

Everything their teacher, Mrs. Bell, was saying, went in through one ear, and out the other, like white noise in the background.

It seemed as though George was trying to pay attention, but didn't really understand, by the confused faces he was pulling, which made Dream smile.

"Ok, now I want you guys to go into Breakout rooms, you can pick which one by yourselves, and do math problems 1-5 on the PDF, ok?"

The few who were paying attention, made a thumbs up.

"OK, off you pop" He knew he would never understand how Mrs. Bell could be so energetic in the mornings.

Dream opened the Breakout room menu trying to pick which room to join, as the others slowly moved out of the current room. His automatic thought was to join room 4, with his hockey mates, as usual. But then he realized George was all alone, he knew he would feel guilty if he left George, so he joined room 6 with George. leaving Nick and his other friends on their own.

To his pleasant surprise, he could see Georges face cover his whole screen. Dream was slightly confused as to why George hadn't turned his camera off.

"Dream, I'm very happy you joined me, but PLEASE turn on your camera" His accent made Dreams heart melt.

Dream unmuted himself.

"And why should I??" Dream said, teasing him slightly.

"Oh come on, don't try that stuff with me, 16" Dream couldn't help but smile at the nicknames, they had for each other, even though his for George was less creative.

Dream caved in and turned on his camera.

"Thank you, I missed seeing your face" This made Dream blush instantly, so he turned on his LED lights, to try to hide it.

"LED lights, how Gen Z"

"What can I say, I'm trendy?" Dream said which got both of them laughing.

"Sure Dream, sure, but he have to get started on the math if I'm ever gonna get a chance to graduate" This annoyed Dream slightly cause he would never usually do the work, but he knew George needed the help, so he did anyways.

After a good 25 minutes of George and Dream working together, they were done.

"Good job George, I think you really get it now" Dream said leaning back in his chair, and putting his hand behind his head.

"Its all because of you Dreamy" This caused a long silence, where both of them froze in their seats.

"I'm sorry, was that too far??" George said.

"No, I actually really liked that, I haven't been called any real pet names lately, just trying to process it" He said chuckling a bit.

"By the way George are you...." Dream was trying to make sure he asked this in the right way-

"Do you like....."

"Are you into both...." He really couldn't phrase this well, luckily George saved him.

"Dream you can just ask, I'm a male figure skater, who voluntarily wears turtlenecks every day, yes, I'm Gay" They both chuckled a bit, and Dream was extremely relived.

"What about you, boys, girls or both?" George said, very casual around the subject.

"Still not quite sure, but as of right now, I'm Bi" It helped him, how calm George was around the subject, Dream was so used to hiding it, and pretending it wasn't real around everyone, but Sapnap.

A message showed up in the middle of his screen, Breakout rooms close in (59), the counter was counting down. The two of them stayed in till the very second, until the counter was down on (5).

"I'll see you later George" Dream said, sad he had to leave.

The rest of the day went by slowly, his mates kept messaging him through the private chat, but he was too tired to respond. There was only a few messages that caught his eye.

Sapnap: Wow Dream, George really does have an impact on you, I don't think I've ever seen you turn your camera on on zoom.

Dream:      I mean, he sounded nervous about all the new people, so it was the least I could do.

Sapnap:   Oh yeah, so he really hasn't meet any of the other figure skaters or hockey players yet?

Dream:     No, not that I know of.

Sapnap:   We should have a party or something, and you could invite him.

Dream:     A party??? Really Sap, you know how my father's about that kinda stuff.

Sapnap:   Yeah, but it was worth the shot.

Dream:     :)

Being able to hit the "leave meeting" button had never been so reliving, he had sat tense all day, because he never turned his camera off, for George.

The day had been long, and some what unbearable, but he couldn't help but look forward to tomorrow, where he would get to see both Nick, and George, in person again.
