Should she ask? Would it be wierd if she did?

Airaa Kamran was in a major dilema no one would understand. The morning lecture had been cancelled and she stood alone against the pillar in the bustling hallway, chewing on the side of her thumb.

She thought she'd see him as she entered, laughing as usual and goofing around with his group.

But he wasn't there.

She caught a glimpse of him at the time of the lecture when everyone was coming to the class but then the proctor Daim, announced the lecture had been cancelled and he turned away without waiting for her before she could stop him. Soon she lost him in the sea of students shuffling out.

Neither did she see Maryum and Imaad nor got a single text from them. She knew they were avoiding her and she was glad about that because she didn't want to have that confrontation just yet.

But she did want to see Ayaan quite desperately. She was curious to know why he was so distant suddenly. She wanted him to approach her and make her mad, annoy her, tease her, laugh at her anger. She wanted all of him...

Why wasn't he there! ....

She thought of calling him but then her heart beat so furiously fast she got rid of the idea.

Airaa calling Ayaan??!

She gulped at the thought and jiggled her knee nervously.

There, a few feet away from her stood Alizey, Asad and Daim talking to some other class mates she didn't even know the names of.

She could just go and ask them....

But then what would they think? How would they react??

What would she say??

Why was she looking for Ayaan Amir of all the people....

However this waiting was making her restless. Airaa was one of those people who were very desicive and sure in their desicions. She didn't fall prey to confusion and or got pestered by stupid dilemas. Yet since the entry of this caramel eyed hero.... Everything was changing.

He was like a small wild seed that had been thrown upon the barren soil of her heart and without her knowing, slowly began seeping its roots deep into her flesh. Taking control, now it was flowering inside of her, filling her up with the frangrance of new emotions she never knew before but was slowly learning to recognize.

Making up her mind she sucked in a breath, steeled her shoulders and marched in their direction.

You're a queen Airaa... You don't coy away. You face every situation head on.

"....Haan toh uss ullu ke phattey ko bola kis ne thaa keh--"

*Ahem ahem*

Asad stopped in the middle of his dialogue at the sound of a throat clearing and he, along with all the others with him had their eyes popped wide when they saw who had approached them.

She stood silent for a few seconds and they all continued to gawk with their jaws hung open like they just saw a student cartwheel while juggling human skulls at the same time.

"Ayaan kahan hai?" She asked finally and their eyes opened wider if that was possible.

"Do you guys know?" She asked again when they didn't reply, her eyes flickering over each one of their faces.

   .....

Airaa was feeling extremely uncomfortable but she'd never be the one to show it so she stood her stance confidently. While letting her conscience cringe inwardly.
