REAL LIFE

Bo and Lize had arrived in New York. It was a tiring trip, but the two had managed to entertain each other just fine.

The friends had gotten off the plane and were now dragging their luggage through the big white halls of J.F. Kennedy airport.

'Hey I'll see you later yeah? I can make it to the apartment on my own.' Bo nudged her as soon as he spotted Timothée in the airport.

Li looked at him with furrowed eyebrows. 'What, why?' she asked him.

Bo nodded towards where the lanky boy was standing. 'I'm not going to stand between you and your man.' He said with a grin.

The girl slapped his arm at his comment. 'Are you sure you'll be okay?' She wondered.

'Yes mother.' He answered her sarcastically, which earned the boy a glare from his best friend.

Bo swiftly kissed Li's cheek and left, disappearing in the crowd. The girl smiled at her friend, thankful for having him around.

Her eyes fell back on him. Tim. The tall boy was nervously moving around. His hands fidgeting with the string of a balloon. 'Happy birthday' it said. Li couldn't help but grin at the sight of the curly-haired boy.

Timothée was wearing a grey hoodie paired with some loose blue jeans. He had a long black coat layered over it. A dark red cap was covering his curls.

Lize slowly started making her way towards him, enjoying seeing him so nervous just a little too much. She took a wide turn, so she could approach him from behind. The grinning girl was now standing right behind him, her head moving upwards because of his tall frame. Li noticed how her friend was nervously tapping his foot on the floor and smiled.

'Hey you.' She spoke up calmly. Tim swung around; his eyes grew big at the sight of the girl he'd grown to like so much.

'I've mi-' Lize started, but got interrupted by Timmy's tight-gripping bear hug.

She felt his large hands pressed on her back, squeezing her small frame against his. His soft curls brushed past her cheek and Lize couldn't help but blush. He had his face buried into her shoulder. His scent was earthy, but sweet. It felt beautifully familiar.

Lizzie felt startled at first, but then comfortably melted into the hug. He was really here; she hadn't dreamt any of it.

'Missed you too Lizzie.' The girl heard Timothée softly mumble into her hair. One of his hands had moved up her back and he was now twirling the ends of her dark locks around his finger.

The young actor squeezed her body once more and lifted her a little in the air. He laughed freely as he jokingly shook her body around a little. Lize squealed at the gesture, holding onto Timothée a little tighter.

The lanky boy carefully put her back down and created a little distance between them. He had his hands on her shoulders, near her neck. His fingers still tangled in her dark curls.

'You're here.' He breathed, a smile gracing his lips.

'So are you.' Lize replied, her voice just above a whisper. Her small hands were still placed around his waist. Her eyes spread open wide in amazement. Timothée nearly lost himself in those dark pools of brown.

'Uh- I, I got you-' The boy then awkwardly started rambling. Nervously stretching out his arm, holding the balloon.

Li didn't know how exactly to explain it, but she felt an explosion of butterflies in her stomach. He had brought her a balloon; it was the sweetest thing to her.
