Shayla's Pov

It's been 3 weeks since our 2 angels were born, right now they're at home with us and everyone from work.

"Now that they're finally here, have you guys decided on names yet?" Hen asked

Buck and I looked at eachother, then at them. I said, "our son's name is Alejandro Daniel Buckley" I named him after my dad

"Our daughter name is Vanessa Madeline Buckley" Buck said, Maddie smiled. (A/N: Madeline is Maddie's real name It's shown in the episode 'fight or flight')

"Aww"

"They're beautiful" Eddie said, "They both have your eyes Buck" Bobby said, "Yea I love that they both got their daddys pretty blue eyes." I said in awe

"They're also just as beautiful as they're mommy." Buck added before kissing me on the cheek.

"Ah I bet Jee-Yun will get along great with Alejandro and Vanessa." Chimney said, "Aww I bet they will" I said in awe, I hadn't thought about it before...

It's been 2 months, I've made the decision to be a stay at home mom after a lot of thinking. I'll miss being a firefighter like crazy, and I know I could hire a nanny for the twins, but they need to build a connection with me

I don't wanna be one of those parents who has their kids just to leave them with a babysitter or nanny almost their whole life. If giving up my dream job means being a better mother for my kids, I would do it.

Alejandro was asleep in the crib, I held Vanessa in my arms as I gently swayed her to sleep, singing to her.

Vanessa had finally fallen asleep, I gently placed her in the crib next to her brother, I looked up at one of the pictures on the wall from the maternity photoshoot.

One of them was of me in a flower crown looking down wearing a pastel pink, lilac, and blue tye dye dress, the other was of Buck in his firefighter clothes kissing my bare belly.

I picked out clothes for them to wear after their bath later, deciding on the matching pajamas Lyza brought.

All of a sudden I head a fire truck passing by, and heard the siren. I miss being in them a lot. I sighed and told myself, it'll always be a big part of who I am.

I was feeding Alejandro on the couch while Vanessa was awake in her moving swing, I had just finished changing her. Soon enough Buck got home with a bag of food, "I'm home" he said

"Hi honey" i said before he kissed me, "how was work?"

"It was good, a lot happened today, we had this one call with a girl who got stuck on a runaway hot air balloon. They had to help her navigate herself closer to ground from it, it was crazy!" He exclaimed

"Wow, and she made it to ground safely like she wasn't hurt or scared?" I asked

"No! She was so brave, we got her off and she made it back to her mom safely..I wish you could've seen it.." He said with a heartfelt expression

I formed a smile on my face, "I do too, I'm sure it was amazing." I said pulling my shirt back up and taking Alejandro to his swing.

Buck looked at them and then at me, "I'm gonna go take a quick shower so we can eat, then I'll help you put the kids to sleep." He said, he kissed me and walked away

"Okay" I said before plopping back down just for a minute. I thought about it, I really miss all those great times we shared together with the team.

When Buck came back we ate and the kids were well in their swings, he told me all the crazy things that happened at work throughout the past week. It was all so interesting, as if I could see all the illusion and thrill in his eyes as he talked about it

Tommorow luckily he was off so he could help me out with the babies, when we were getting ready for bed, I was looking through old photos I found while cleaning earlier in the day, Buck was in the room putting the babies to sleep.

I found a group photo of me and the rest of the team, this was the day my probationary period ended, and I became a full member of the LAFD.

This was the picture with me surrounded by Buck, Bobby, Eddie, Chimney, and Hen. Next thing I know my vision got blurry, and a tear drop splashed onto the picture.

"Shayla?" Bucks voice startled me, "sweetheart, whats wrong?" He asked sitting next to me. "Nothing" I mumbled wiping my eyes trying to put the photo away, but it was too late.

"Oh yeah I remember that day" He said happily, I stayed silent

"Shayla look at me" I looked at him. He pulled me in and held me, and placed a kiss on my forehead. Rubbing my back and telling me,

"You're such a good mother"
