Chapter 20: First Day as genin

Third Person P.O.V

"This is the worst!" Naruto groaned as they walked up the hokage tower

"This is the fifth time you've complained this morning naruto" sakura said as she pet the cat, Tora in her arms, they had just gotten back from their first mission

"You know you can just ask your father for a different mission" sasuke shrugged

"I'm going to get scolded for sure" kakashi sweat dropped at his students antics

"Yondaime sama, team 7 reporting" Kakashi said as they entered the room

"That's great, your next mission is going to be weeding out plants in the backyard of the Tanaka family, walking the dog of a merchant-"

"No! I want a real mission dad- er..hokage sama" Naruto interrupted Minato

"A real mission?" Minato raised an eyebrow at this

"Uh huh, no more of the D ranked missions which are nothing but chores people are too lazy to do" Naruto said

"Kakashi?" Minato looked towards Kakashi's direction

"I believe they're ready for high C rank level to Low B rank levels for now" Kakashi confirmed his teacher's thoughts

"But hokage sama-"

"Iruka, I know your worried for their safety and well being. But if Kakashi is there with them and he says they're ready we should trust him as he is their sensei now" Minato interrupted iruka from finishing his sentence

"I shall give you a low C rank mission just incase. It's a simple escort mission" Minato said as he looked at the list of mission requests

"Are we going to escort some sort of royalty? Oo or a high rank ninja?" Naruto asked as it was a bit too- scratch that it was a year too early for the wave mission

"You are going to escort 2 merchants to the hidden village in grass, you just have to make sure it reaches a daimyo family in the hidden village in grass" Minato explained the mission

"Who are we going to be escorting?" Naruto asked as he bounced up and down

"You can send them in" Minato informed an ANBU

"Thank you for doing this so last minute Hokage sama" A very familiar female voice said

"No problem Haruno san" Minato replied

Haruno?! Come on sakura, your a genin be professional Sakura thought as soon as she heard their names, the boys on her team all shared a knowing look

"Team 7: Your mission is to escort the Haruno family to the village hidden in grass. There have been reports of theft and burglary, your job is to make sure they go and return safely. You are to leave by 10 tomorrow night" Minato briefed out before handing kakashi his mission scroll

"Okay, we'll meet you at 10:00 tomorrow" Kizashi said before he and his wife left

"Did you know about this sakura chan?!" Naruto asked as soon as they left the office

"Not at all" Sakura said

"Well,they were acting professional even if there own daughter is in the team that is going to escort them, we should probably also be professional" Sasuke concluded

"My kawaii genins are correct now go get some rest and show up tomorrow at sharp 10" kakashi smiled

"Your the one we should be telling those words to Kaka sensei" naruto grumbled under his breath before they all went their separate ways
