This whole damn world thinks it needs you
Not nearly as much as she does
You work hard to live a better life
To take care of a girl who thinks she's a mess
And still manage to have a heart big enough to fill hers and all of your family's
You are the man who acts like Superman
While also teaching her how to love Clark before she needed to be saved
You whisked away her doubt
Her heavy torn heart
You made her young again
You flew into a place full of kryptonite
As much as it killed you
You protected her
You loved her
Below your armor and steel
You showed her what it was like to be happy
Truly and unapologetically in love with a hero everyone looks up to
A hidden figure she sees everyday
You created a man you thought she wanted and hid the man you knew she would be scared of because of his strength
She wasn't afraid
She radiates enough love to melt the steel around his heart
She opened him up
Took away his cape
Put his glasses back on
And said;
"Now I believe Superman held Clark Hostage all these years, but I think he's the real hero...and I love both of you."
And you knew...oh, you knew...you just fell in love with an under appreciated real life Lois Lane
She holds more power than you could use to tear down skyscrapers
She holds the power to either destroy or be your world
You laugh under your breath and look to her smiling with pride she's yours;
"You know...superwoman sometimes needs Superman too."
