We might not have found the northern lights that night
I did discover the milky way was the universes invisible path that connected me to you
All these years of our gaze watching the same sky
Me sending out signals
I didn't know you would be the one to answer
I've never seen someone so colorful
I was chasing the aurora borealis
And rainbows after the storm settled
It turns out all those rainbows never contained gold
When I was searching for the northern lights I had lost my sense of direction
Those dark nights I had accidentally been wondrously calculating my steps toward you
All the stars aligning the brightest path to you
I never had a more clear vision of what love should be
It is bold
It is the ever lasting encore
You have always been the brightest star on my darkest nights
Now I see you in full color
