The truth always was
I never wanted to survive you
Getting over you was the biggest war I have ever fought
I'm not quite sure I want to pick myself up off the battle ground yet
The truth always was
I would take million bullets to watch you never take one for me
My hardest decision has been to call a truce or call you my enemy
My heart has adapted to the chaos so well it can't comprehend the peace
The god honest truth was
I was never meant to be a soldier who lost what she was fighting for
Maybe more importantly who was fighting for her
