Kira and Jared [Historical Romance]

  As soon as their demands were met, the people left the castle one by one. Kira was happy with the fact that the people finally understood Jared's importance.
But there was someone who didn't share in her joy; Edrin. He was so furious and blinded by jealousy. He angrily grabbed Kira's hand and dragged her inside. Jared grew worried and was about to intervene when Edrin raised a hand of warning at him.
"Don't you dare interfere between my wife and me!". He warned.

Jared didn't feel right about leaving her alone with him in his angered state, but he eventually stayed out of Edrin's way. Edrin dragged her to their chamber, not giving her a chance to explain. He opened the door and pushed her inside, she fell down and almost hit her head against the floor, but that didn't affect her enraged husband. He marched to where she was laying on the floor, grabbed her arm, and pulled her up to face him.
"What were you doing with him?!!! What were you both planning when you got arrested?!!! Tell me!!!!" He yelled like a madman.

Kira was shocked at this side of him, it had been so long since she saw him like this and he scared the daylight out of her. She stutteringly answered his question;
"I...I...Beatrice she...."

Edrin grew more furious; "Beatrice!!! I warned you to disregard that good-for-nothing girl. Even after her death, she is still making you do foolish things. Is that why you wanted to get Jared enthroned behind my back?! You wanted to kill my father. what was your plan with me huh?!". He asked, shaking with anger.

She shook her head vigorously at his assumptions... "No! No! We only found out that day I promise, please believe me Edrin! We didn't try to kill your father I..." She tried her best to explain to him but he wasn't ready to understand anything.

"Lies!!!!! Stop lying to me, Kira!! You wanted to make him King so that you both can get married after having me killed!"... Edrin's eyes and face had turned red with anger, nothing she said was going to change his perspective. He pushed her back to the ground and stood up. He started looking around in search of God-knows-what. He finally found a belt in the closet, took it, and walked back to her.
Kira didn't know what he intended to do at first but when saw the belt in his hand, her heart began to race.

He struck her the first time, she cried out in pain and made a run for the door, she pulled the doorknob in an attempt to open it but discovered that he had locked it and had hidden the key. She turned back to him, scared of the man she saw standing in front of her. he was consumed by hate and jealousy.
He walked closer to her, she moved away from the door but before she could go farther backward, he whipped her again, which broke her skin and she started to bleed. She was crying so loudly, that almost everyone in the castle could hear her.

"I'm going to kill Edrin!!"... Jared who could not take Kira's screams yelled angrily. Victor had begged him not to go there and create more scenes but the way Kira was crying was too unbearable for them. Jared marched out of the room and into the hallway, heading for Edrin's chamber to stop whatever torture he was giving Kira.

He met Grayson close to Edrin's chamber door, he(Grayson) was smiling but Jared had no time for his games.
"Haven't you ever been taught to never get involved in a couple's fight?". He said to Jared mockingly.

But Jared ignored him and pushed the door but realized it was locked from inside. The screams of Kira from inside were overwhelming for him and in fury, he pushed the door again and again until he broke the lock. He then rushed inside to see Edrin hurting the love of his life.
"Leave. Her. Alone!!!"
He brushed Edrin off the floor, got on top of him, and started punching him in the face.
A couple of punches later, his eyes traveled from Edrin's bloody face to the woman lying on the floor, Kira was unconscious, and at that point, nothing mattered to him anymore. He rushed over to her and held her head up in his hand.
"My Lady, my lady...wake up...", He shook her face but she had passed out. He carried her in his arms and took her to the Royal physician, not caring what Edrin was saying.
