Now onto the stoy ************************ (Sai's pov)
I was sitting in my balcony. My thoughts flooded with Virat.
My mind just went back to our ice-cream date. Wait was it a date?
Then I got reminded of his side hug.
I still can't understand what is happening to me. I am thinking too much of him.
I went inside and laid on my bed.
I didn't know when sleep came.
••next day••
It was a normal day. I just got done with 5 patients and 2 more patients, then I can go home. That's when my phone rang.
I looked at it, It was virat. We exchanged numbers last evening.
It was a video call, I picked it up.
"Sai, aap dada ke saath shopping karne chali jaogi? Actually mujhe aaj subhe hi ek cameo role mila hai serial mein aur karishma ke school mein annual function hai. Ghar ke bade to kisi ke godbharai par gye hai" Mohit said
"Haan sai, pls chali jao na dada ko chott lagi hai vo akele nhi jaa sakte aur aaj jana bohot important hai" Karishma pitched in.
I could see Mohit and karishma at the corners of my screen while Virat sat in between with a fed up expression.
"Ek second firstly, congratulations mohit. Secondly, shopping karne kyu jaana hai? Aur godbharai? Kiski godbharai?" I replied confused
Mohit and karishma were going to say something but Virat cut them off
"Chup ho jao dono ke dono, actually sai kal aai-baba ki 50th wedding anniversary, hum gharwale un dono ko surprise dena chahte hai isliye shopping karne jaana hai"
"Oh" I replied "Aur godbharai, vo humare kisi dur ke rishtedaar ki hai, hum teeno to unhe jaante tak nhi." He added
"Right" I replied
"To?" He asked and mohrishma had an anticipation on their faces. "To?"
"Uffo, chalogi shopping doctor sahiba?" "Umm...kitne baje?" I asked
"Ek ghante mein?" He said and raised his eyebrows.
I didn't know whether to say yes or no. I had nothing to do and even aaba had gone to Gadchiroli for pension related matters.
I thought for a moment and then replied "Aacha ok, ek ghante mein chalte hai, I'll pick you up"
"Thankyou so much sai" mohrishma said and went away.
Virat looked at both of them, shook his head in disbelief and chuckled making me smile.
"I'll be waiting" he said "Hmm...bye" I said and cut the call.
I finished up my appointments and drove towards Virat's home.
I rang the bell and he opened the door.
He stood there in a grey jeans with a white t-shirt.
"Chale?" I said "Haan ek minute.." he said.
He came outside and locked the house.
"Ab chalte hai" he said with a grin
We both got in the car. -----------------------------------
(Virat's pov)
Sai was wearing a grey crop top with black jeans. She indeed looked beautiful.
I turned on the radio in the car and we jammed to songs again.
In no time we reached the mall and went in.
"Kya kharidana hai?" She asked
I can't believe she is asking this.
"Washing machine kharidni hai party ke liye, had kardi yaar balloons, decoration, gifts, cake and new clothes for aai-baba obviously"
She looked at her watch.
"5 baje hai I hope hum sab kuch le payenge" she said
"Arree...saman hi to lena hai isme deri kaise ho jayegi" I responded
Debating we got into the lift and went to first floor, where there were clothes.
First we went into men's section and ended up selecting a black pant with golden jacket.
Then we went into women's section and selected a golden saree with a black blouse.
"So clothes are done, pehle cake ka order de dete hai phir decoration ka saman le lenge" I said looking at the dresses in my hand
Getting no response I looked up. She wasn't here.
Where did she go?
I saw her playing with a puppy.
I went towards her and asked "You like dogs?"
She nodded and I smiled.
"Mujhe humesha se ki ek puppy chahiye tha, pehle mbbs ki padai ki wajah se nhi le pati aur ab aabako puppies nhi pasand hai"
"I too love puppies" I said and ruffled the pup's hair.
I eyes fell on my watch, it was already an hour since we were shopping for clothes only, we have to hurry up pr else we will get late.
"Hume aur bhi kaam karna hai let's go" I spoke
She looked at me in disappointed but returned back the puppy to the owner and went ahead.
I glanced back at the puppy and then she called me out. I almost ran to her.
"Aaram se, theek nhi hue ho, khud ko koi hero mat samjho" she said
"Arree...vaisi tum kal ka pehnogi?" "Kal?"
"Tumse bada koi idiot nhi hoga, kal party mein" "Ohhh..."
"Ohhhh" I replied teasing her "Vo to surprise hoga, tum kya pehnoge?" She asked
"Vo bhi surprise ho hoga" I replied --------------------
(Sai's pov)
I loved shopping but today I was enjoying too much maybe it was because of Virat's accompany.
We both ordered a three layered cake, purchased gifts and decorative things.
It was 7:30 pm when we had purchased everything and sat down in a restaurant to eat.
