(Virat's pov)

This all feels like a dream. I can't believe my family united with me.

I did the rasam and gave the gift I bought for my niece/nephew.

That is when I noticed Sai's absence.
She was standing here only.

Where did she go?

Is she fine?

I scanned the whole living room but she was nowhere to be seen.

Before I could go inside and see where she is I was pulled by baba. He insisted me to eat with them.

I wanted to find sai first but I can't deny. Everything between us got sorted after months it won't look nice if I deny.
So I agreed and sat down with my family to eat.

(Sai's pov)

I came running to the washroom and turned on the tap so that nobody could her me crying.

Everything everything made sense now.

His aloofness the day before his birthday, him sobbing during the call which was our last conversation.

And obviously kia incident.

He did everything to protect us.
To protect his family and me.

I spent all these months hating him while he did everything to protect me only.

I didn't know who to blame: me, him or fate.

I heard a knock on the door, I quickly wipped my tears, washed my face and stepped out.

I saw him eating with his family. A smile automatically came on my face.

He might have taken wrong steps but his intentions weren't wrong.
He didn't intend to hurt and break our hearts.

He looked up, AT ME.

Our eyes met and I diverted my gaze.

I knew I'll start crying again if I looked at him for any more time.

I went to pakhi bhabhi who was still sitting on the grand chair.

I asked her what she wanted to eat and we ate together.

All this while I knew someone was stealing glances at me.

And I knew who that person was.

(Virat's pov)

I felt someone's eyes on me and I looked up only to find sai smiling looking at me.

But then she diverted her gaze.

I can understand her situation. It
won't be an ounce easy for her to handle and accept all of this in one go.

I have to talk to her.

She didn't look at me again but I couldn't help stealing glances at her.

She still looks the same as beautiful as before but now one can see the maturity on her face which wasn't there earlier.
