(Sai's pov)

Ashwini kaku fed me the last bite of the meal and went into the kitchen.

I asked her if she needed help but she denied.

I opened the fridge to find some desert, my eyes fell on the ice cream cones.

My mind instantly went back to virat.
He used to love ice cream.

He went upstairs crying, maybe an ice cream can help not only in cheering up his mood but also to start a conversation between us.

I had so many questions in my mind and I guess he did too.

I grabbed the two cones and went upstairs only to spot him sitting in one corner on the floor of the balcony.

(Virat's pov)

I heard footsteps.

I wipped my tears and looked back.

I was surprised when I saw sai standing there with ice cream cones in her hand.

"Umm........may I?" She said gesturing at the floor beside me in the end.

"Sure" I said.

We surely needed to talk.

She sat 2 tiles away from me and handed me one of the cones.

Neither of us spoke anything till good 2 mins, the only noise which was there was of ice cream cone's wapper's opening and some bike horns.

"Hi" she said

"Hello" I replied

"Kaise ho?"

I didn't reply just ate a bite of ice cream and looked up in the sky.

"I am sorry" I said after some moments, looking back at her again.

She smiled and then went back to eating her ice cream.

"Kia was never my girlfriend"

"Jaanti hoon" came the reply.

"Mujhe actually pehle se hi doubt tha. Meine usse bar mein dekha tha."

"Oh" I replied

There was again a pause.

"Video meine bhi dekhi thi." She said

"Hm"

"Tumhare liye vaise bhi kartavy se badkar na kuch tha, na hai aur na hoga"

"Haan, par aisi bewakofo wali harkate vapas nhi karunga" I said

(Sai's pov)

I asked him if I could sit beside him.

He agreed and I sat down 2 tiles away from him.

I had him over the cone not knowing how to start the conversation.

We sat in silence for a while then I started of by saying hi.

Thank god he responded back with a hello.

To keep the conversation going I asked how he was although it was written on his face that he was tired.

He didn't reply. All my efforts went down the drain.

But then suddenly he said that he is sorry.

I knew the context of this and where the conversation was heading.

I just smiled. I don't why but I did.

And went back to eating my ice cream.

He said that kia was never his girlfriend. Although from the video it was visible that she wasn't I felt a relief hearing it from his mouth but I didn't show it instead I replied that I know.

I don't know why but I told him that I saw kia at the bar. I should have kept this private na?

This man always gets on my emotions.

Again silence.

Before we used to talk so much with each other that we didn't used to realise how much time went by but today both of us are quiet.

He wasn't entirely at fault and I wanted him to know that.
I knew he would cursing himself for everything even for aaba's death and I didn't want him to blame himself.

To kick of the conversation I said that even I watched the video but he just replied hm.

I again tried, I wanted to clear everything or else he'll just immerse himself in guiltiness.

(Virat's pov)

"Galti tumhari nhi thi" she said

I looked at her shocked, I knew that she won't curse me but I didn't expect her to say this.

"Thodi thi par puri nhi thi" she added

"Haan, aur bhi raaste the" I responded

"Par us vakt kuch aur sujha hi nhi" I added.

She nodded.

Silence prevailed again.

"Kaisi ho?" I asked, trying to again start the conversation.

She looked at me confused but she replied with she is better.

"How r u?" She asked.

"Aaj tak to sirf zinda tha" I said with a chuckle at the end.

"Aur aaj se?"

"Zyada hi acha lag rha hai"

She smiled at me, the first time I saw the smile she had four months back.
From whatever smile I had seen in these days, it looked like there was something missing in them.

"Kaha rehte hoon" she asked eating the last part of the ice cream.

"Mumbai"

"Akele?"

"Umm...not akele, I have a puppy"

"Puppy?!?" She asked, her eyes twinkling.

I knew she loved puppies, the reason I got one for myself.

I nodded with a smile.

"Mujhe kabhi-" she stopped saying and looked back at the sky.

"Aa sakti ho ghar usse milne" I said understanding what she wanted to say.

She nodded.

"Sai" came a voice from downstairs. It was aai.

"Jaldi aa bada, pakhi to bohot tez dard ho rha hai"

"Virat to kaha hai?" She added.

We both immediately got up and rushed downstairs
