The sun's light blinded Jaehyung for a moment. He gazed up, squinting at the sun. Though he didn't know it, from another's perspective it looked like he was flawlessly gazing out in deep thought.

The days slowly drifted and before he knew it, the last assessment of the cycle was here. Jaehyung lifted his eyes, staring ahead at the endless rainforest behind the professors. They hadn't ventured out from the perimeter of the huts yet but today would be different.

Early morning chatter filtered through his ears. From the talk with Yuna, many days had already passed and right now it was already nearly the end for this cycle. Time truly had passed by.

As for the Fallen - he and Yuna could not differentiate between which person was more likely to be part of it although each had their own suspicions. Other than that, each day was more or less likely filled with studying and competitive spirit between certain people. Mari still acted as she always did and Jaehyung did his best to ignore it.

As for his father, there was still no news. It wasn't like he was truly missing - it was just that his father had chosen to be hidden away.

Even though it wasn't his true father, Jaehyung couldn't help but have mixed feelings. In his old life, his parents had died early. Jaehyung had spent his life going between houses between foster parents. It was tough and certainly wasn't easy. There were many times were Jaehyung wanted to give up and it was also a reason as to why his personality matched with the villain in the novel even before he transmigrated.

He had always been cold and distant towards people. There was nobody in Jaehyung's old life that was particularly special.

It was saddening, really. He had a hard, depressing life and it ended just like that. Now he was in this world - where Jaehyung didn't even know if he was going to survive until the end of it.

Yuna helped him quite immensely with his confliction on the way he acted. Jaehyung no longer needed to have any doubts about himself. He was still him... right?

Standing out here in the clearing next to the students, despite the fact that it was still really early in the morning, the sun was clearly up. The dew on the ground was still moist and the birds twittering in the trees were still alive rich with sound and harmony.

The students in the clearing looked positively excited, like they had been waiting for this moment.

The professors at the front straightened up and the students fell into a hushed silent.

"Welcome to the last assessment of this cycle," It was Headmaster Evos, smiling across the students. Him standing in his clearly expensive and stylish clothes was such a contrast with the huts around him. Not just him - but nearly everyone in the clearing. It was understandable, of course as most students who attended this program primarily came from wealthy, well-known families. "I don't suppose you have any idea what this is meant to assess?"

When everyone remained silent, the Headmaster clasped his hands, "It will be a simple game of capture the flag over the duration of three days. With twenty students in the program, you all will be split into two groups of ten and will find a way in order to capture the other teams flag from the assigned time limit. Should none of you capture the flag then it is a definite zero for both teams."

Some of the students tensed as soon as the Headmaster said that. Jaehyung understood it clearly - failure was not an option when it came to something like this.

"If a flag is captured, the only way to win is to head to your own tower and place your enemy's flag at the very top of your designated teams tower. As for your own flag, you will have to hide it in your assigned territory following a special time limit. Once your flag is placed it cannot be changed or moved. Your team will immediately get a zero should any purposeful movement occur. Remember, there will be eyes watching."
