Rejected

Part 8

They said the moon goddess only gives you one mate. I got two. I knew Jacob was something important to me but I never knew that he would turn into my mate.

He feels it just like I feel with Zane. Although I feel something for Jacob it's not as strong as with Zane.

After a few hours of talking we headed to the pack house. Hopefully I'm still a member. I did almost rip off Zane's shoulder. As we made it to the front door Zane came out. Anger rolled off of him. I looked down and hid behind Jacob.

Jacob blocked me from Zane in a protective stance.

"Mine." Zane growled out.

"Oh yeah? Last time i heard you said you didn't have one." That comment kinda felt like a slap in the face.

Zane growled louder. He stepped closer but Jacob held his position. I peeked out behind Jacob. Zane was trying to hold down his Wolf.

"She's mine, Zane. Shes my mate." Jacob said a growl erupting from his throat.

"The hell she is." But Zane's looked doubtful somehow he looks like he's slowly starting to see it. "We need to talk. Privately." He glanced around sure enough wolfs were coming out to see what all the commotion was about.

We headed to Zane's office. When we stepped in he slammed the door shut and turned to Jacob.

"How can she be your mate? She's mine!" he growled loudley his Wolf inching closer to surface.

"I don't know. But don't do that, don't call her yours. She doesn't deserve you." Jacob said crouching in front of me in a protective way.

"Like hell she doesn't." Zane stepped closer. Jacob growled deep in his throat.

"You said she wasn't your mate. Explain that alpha." He used a lot of anger inched word Alpha.

"I'm not ready to tell them yet. She's not campatable to be Luna yet." I gasped and he turned to me. His eyes suddenly turned into pure terror. "No... Ashley thats not what I meant."

"No I get it. I get what you want. Just say it." Zane opened his mouth to say that's not true but I inturrupted him. "Say it Zane."

Zane looked from me and Jacob. He growled deeply but turned to me. "Ashley this is not a good..." I walked quickly to him and slapped him.

"Say it you dumbass! You don't want me! I'm not stupid you prick!" I shoved him hard in the chest. He started growling uncontrollable. Jacob stepped forward but Zane held up his hand. Jacob immediately stopped.

"From this moment on I, Zane Eden reject you, Ashley Landon as a lover and as a mate." He growled out. A fire shot throughout my body. I was on fire. I screamed out and fell. Jacob quickly caught me and I started shaking uncontrollable. With one more long scream I was torn apart. My wolf howled loudly as I shifted. I was about to black out. My wolf was in charge.

She stepped forward toward Zane and growled. She was sad and angry to be rejected. But she knows what has to be done. She raised her paw and sliced her shoulder. She had accepted the rejection. Jacob yelled and reached to her. She turned and saw that Jacob was something important to her. She cocked her head and fell. She crawled to Jacob and sniffed his hair.

Zane was withering on the floor but she didn't turn to him. With one whine she fell down on her side and blacked out. Bringing both of us into darkness.
