It has been several weeks since the first day of the voyage, and also Silver putting Jim to work. Jim at that time had cleaned the bottom of the ship free of barnacles and he was quite proud of himself. During those several weeks Jim learned quickly that he had to get up when the crew got up or else Silver would soak him with cold water, but tomorrow was going to be different he was actually going to get some shut eye this time and Silver wasn't going to stop him.

Jim was smirking, proud of his accomplishment of figuring out a new way to sleep through the morning without Silver soaking him. Annie stood beside him with her arms crossed over her chest as she stared down at their work with admiration. When Jim came to Annie with the idea of making a waterproof blanket she couldn't help but agree, so she found a couple of umbrellas and of course Jim's blanket. They cut off the material on the umbrella and Jim sowed it on his blanket, after they tested it a couple of times it was good to go.

"Silver won't know what hit him." Jim said with a cocky attitude.

"You know if this doesn't work out for you Jim just let me know. I might take it to the academy with me and try selling it to some new cadets." Annie told the boy next to her with a small smile.

"As long as I get half of it." Jim slightly teased her about it.

"Of course." Annie said with a smile before nudging his arm. "I better get some shut eye, let me know how it goes."

Jim nodded in response as Annie started to walk away from him, before heading to the high dock she turned and waved goodbye to him. When he returned with a small wave of his own and a warmer smile on his face, when she disappeared he let out a dreamy sigh and whispered.

"Goodnight Annie."

He turned to look at the waterproof blanket on the ground and let his cocky smile return, it'll work he was so sure of it. What he didn't know was that Morph was looking around the ship for either Annie, Jim or Silver and had overheard the whole conversation. And the word he liked the most, waterproof blanket.

It was morning and Jim was sleeping peacefully with what he assumed to be his waterproof blanket, that is until he felt cold water splash onto him. Jim let out a loud yell as he jumped out of bed and tripped over his boots before falling forward and landing on his stomach with a loud thump. He could hear the loud familiar laughter of the cyborg above him, he slowly pushed his wet hair out of his face and looked up at Silver with annoyance as he questioned the cyborg.

"How'd you know?"

"A little jiggle headed blob told me." Silver said with amusement lacing his voice as he raised his left shoulder showcasing Morph. "Now get dressed, we have a long day ahead of us."

Jim sighed and glanced to the side where he found his waterproof blanket laying on the ground, well there goes that idea he couldn't help but think to himself. He picked up the blanket and decided to give it to Annie, knowing she was probably waiting for him in the valley anyways. Once he put on his dry clothes and hung his hanger out to dry, he made his way into the galley with the waterproof blanket neatly folded on his arm.

Jim skimmed his eyes over the tables to try and find the familiar blonde, and sure enough sitting at their usual table in the far left corner she sat. Jim couldn't help but let a soft smile come across his face when he realized she was reading one of her favorite books, Journey To The Mysterious Planet. He quickly made his way over to her and sat the blanket down on the table before plopping himself in his chair which was right across from her. Annie glanced up from above her book and saw the blanket and Jim's wet hair and couldn't help the laugh that bubbled out.
