Jungkook's Pov

I wonder how long will Jimin hyung be here.

Hospitals suck.. Their smell.. Their vibe.. Their need.. Everything.

But I guess I have to stay here till his leg completely heals.
To tell y'all, Jimin hyung encountered a foot injury while practicing, so I'm staying at the hospital until he heals.

Our member hyungs come in the daytime, but they also have work to tend to, so I volunteered to stay at night.
Also, I doubt any of them will be able to deal with this eerie night vibe at a hospital.
Empty beds, same uniforms, dim lights flickering throughout the passage.

"Now go to sleep hyung", I placed my hand on Jimin's head.

"Not if you go searching for THAT again", He furrowed his eyebrows.

I nodded.
.
.
A few minutes passed by.

"Hyung.. Hyung...YOU HEAR THAT?", I whisper shouted at him.

"Aishhh you're at it again", he covered his face with the blanket.

I ran out of the private room with my mask on, running in the direction of the sound involuntarily yet passionately.
Everyday, I try to chase the melody, to meet its owner, but to no avail.

I run half the hospital every night and return back to where I started.
The tune captured my heart, the first night I heard it.
It's a flowy, yet sad flute music at first, but as time passes, it turns into a contemporary one, which screams yearning for somebody.

Jimin says he's sick of this
'Hospital playlist', and asserts that he hears nothing.
Not my fault, he doesn't have the eArS to experience such heavenly music.

The sound is super clear, as if it's not being played on a device, rather being played on an instrument.
But who would have xylophones and flutes in a hospital, right?
Or do they?

Anyways, today I decided to change the route somehow.

At the place where I feel in maximum proximity to the music, I stood still, looking around... until I found a room in front of it.
I never took a look at the room since I was busy running in the corridor.

I push the door with the sign,
"Staff only"

The room had medical equipments looking indifferenciable under green light.
There were injections, guaze, medicines and syringes in metal trays.
I found a door at the other side of the room.

"Emergency exit", I read.

The moment I opened the door, the melody sounded unbelievably near which picked up the pace of my heart.
I wasn't one to get scared at such places, but right now, I'm sweating a bit.
Nevertheless, I can't go back after coming so close to finding out.

I stepped down the stairs, which might lead me to a basement, one step at a time, enjoying the enchanting flute yet being careful of my actions.

I was now in a basement, with no cars.
Honestly, it's surprising, because as far as I remember, there were far many cars in the basement that I had to search for a parking space.

This place was filled with pillars, alongwith some green lights barging in, it's source, not known to me.
The sound was at a touching distance now, and I stood still thinking, if I should go back like a sensible person.

But what I saw a second later, made me loose all my senses.

Somebody peeped from behind one of the pillars.

Beautifully long and black hair, white hospital suit and a flute in her mouth.
She looked around my age.
I couldn't help but smile at the fact that it was a human after all.
The girl hid behind the pillar as if she was scared of me and right then, the music stopped.

Scared if I had interrupted her, I said,
"I'm sorry, I mean no harm.. You can continue.. I'll leave", I almost turned back when she didn't show up.

"I just want to say, you play beautifully.... Its got me hooked",
I almost turned behind, when her head popped out again, this time, revealing one of her eyes as she eyed me from afar.

She took the flute back to her mouth without another word and started playing the enchanting tone again.
Now that it was near, I felt goosebumps on my body everytime she hit a note.
I saw her walking ahead and like a cobra tied to the rhythm, my body automatically moved in the same direction.

As if I was caught in a trance, I couldn't remove my eyes from her figure, her uncommon shiny black hair, flowing down to her knees.
Unknowing of my surroundings, I was completely submerged in the music as I subconsciously followed her.

She occasionally looked over her shoulder, which made me want to look at her face more.
We continued walking for God-knows-how-long and I don't remember a thing about what all places I passed.

Suddenly, a hand held my wrist and I jumped out from my trance; only to find out I was walking on the edge of the roof.
The girl was nowhere to be seen anymore, only my eyes fell on Namjoon, panting heavily.

"Jungkook-ah..... I came to see jimin... I saw you from below...

What the hell are you doing here?

Do you even know how dangerous this is?",
He went on and on with his words which struck my mirror like mind with light rays.

All I could think of was, where did the girl go..
And how did I end up here,
I was in the basement right?

After telling Namjoon about what happened, all he said was, "There exists so much more than we humans know about

After telling Namjoon about what happened, all he said was,
"There exists so much more than we humans know about..

We don't interfere in their world, they don't involve in our world.

It should be like that"

He made very much sense, but I was still too immersed in the thought,
"Did she want me to jump?"

"Or did she need someone to listen?"
