"Um...I'm not proud of that one," I said cringing.
"And called him offensive names?" She ended the list and I winced.
"Twice." I specified.
"And you're still alive?" My best friend blinked, looking genuinely surprised.
"Geez, don't be dramatic or anything..." I frowned at her hyperbolic statement.
"Maybe he's keeping you around to get revenge." She suggested.
Possible. I wouldn't put it past him.
"I didn't know alright!" I exclaimed.
"Let's hope that excuse is acceptable..." Kate was only merely amused.
"Working with my new boss is going to be a piece of work." I huffed.

If you are expecting characters to be perfect🌼 at all times then this story is not for you...🤷♀️ this story is part of the humor genre and hence it plays with words and extremes. 🤯
My characters are like real people, they are flawed, they are immature at times and unreasonable too just like real people are🧐, they won't always do the right thing✔, but it's more important to learn from your mistakes than repeating them, you can judge, disagree and criticise what the characters do and say, but do bear in mind that whenever they behave "out-of-character" it's a revealing act🤯 and try to think what they've been through in their past instead of downright hating the act or a situation🙂, I will not tolerate hate in the comment section😠. Constructive criticism is welcome🤗, but leaving hurtful comments is not acceptable.😶
To be honest, I could write amazing flawless, flowery characters 🥰 who do or say no wrong thing, but frankly, that won't be an interesting story😒 (or at least I think so), nor will there be a character arc throughout the story which is one of my favourite things to achieve as a writer🥺.
As an author who likes to discovery write her characters😌, I love to write about morally ambiguous characters rather than flawless, perfect characters who have no defects or shortcomings. 😛
That being said, I don't agree with everything my characters do and I understand that some things are just wrong, what my characters do, don't always reflect my thoughts on societal norms. 🤓
Some scenes are exaggerated and purposely written in a more theatrical way, where it follows little to no logic... It's for the sake of comedy😂 and a more dramatic🎭 narrative, It doesn't mean to offend anybody or any strong beliefs. If you don't find a situation funny move on...👣 Maybe you'll like the next one...🤷♀️ I don't want to hear all the reasons why it wasn't funny. Everyone has a different sense of humor... So, respect that.😇
