Taehyung's POV

Standing just a few meters away from Jina's cubicle, I was able to hear her snitching to Jungkook about what went down in my office earlier.

I couldn't help but to silently laugh to myself as she really thought that she'd done something to make her conspiracy work when I'm always by her tail, knowing her every move.

After briefly explaining to Bora about what she needed to do to reobtain my missing documents from Jungkook, I had a feeling that Jina was ready to tell Jungkook about our break up just a few minutes ago.

She's really predictable, and it fascinated me at how she was still oblivious to the fact that I knew everything about her and Jungkook when I'd always pinned her as smart and cunning person.

Not so smart now, ay?

Once I decided that I had enough of her being on the phone with Jungkook as it was working time, I finally decided to butt into her conversation.

"Lee Jina, who are you talking to and why are you on the phone during working hours?" I showed my full form which was hiding behind the wall, as I had my arms crossed in front of my chest and walked very slowly towards her cubicle.

At my presence, all the staffs in their respective cubicles stood up and gave a formal bow and automatically took their seats when I acknowledged them with a nod.

Jina shakily stood up and pressed the 'End Call' button on her phone, not before I caught a glimpse of the contact she was engaging with, 'Jungkookie🥺❤' on her screen, making me gag internally.

"Mr. Kim, h-hi, that was my, eh, brother. Haha." She nervously tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.

"You have a brother, Jina?" Hyejin whispered at Jina from her seat which was loud enough for me to hear.

All that Jina could do is to lightly smack Hyejins shoulder, signalling her friend to be quiet before turning her head to look at me again.

"That was my brother, Mr. Kim. He needed to go to the, uh, hospital to see his parents' condition but did not know how to call a taxi, so I-I was just explaining to him how he could do that by giving him the contact of the taxi driver which I have in my phone and yeah, he's on his way to see them now." Jina daringly lied to me.

"Oh really, what happened to your parents? Why are they in the hospital?" I smirked as my hand flew to my back and signaled her to immediately leave the floor without having Jina to notice her do that.

Bora's POV

At the hand signal, I curled my back like how a pangolin does and slowly walked out from his office and passed him to head to the emergency staircase which was situated a few steps away from the elevator.

By taking the steps, no 'ding' sound could be heard when I pressed the 'Going Down' button which could alert Jina of where I was going during this hour and tell Jungkook all about it.

After Taehyung displayed a few plans on the retrieval of his datas from Jungkook's laptop, I couldn't help but to be slightly eager to see Jungkook again although I was fully aware about how he had disappointed both Tae and Chim in many ways.

Maybe it's been long since I'd last seen him where I left him at the amusement park and hopefully, he could give me a good explanation as to why he'd ditch me for Jina?

No no no, he will suspect something.

Either way, the moment I'd reach the lobby, I saw a red Mercedes-Benz which was sent by Taehyung, parked in the parking lot a few meters away from the grand entrance where I needed to walk to in order to avoid multiple questions being thrown at me by the security guards who were guarding the entrance due to the tightening of the security forces here.
