Allison's POV:
A sharp ringing noise causes me to turn, seeing as Nathan held one of my dad's sonic spikes emitters as it glowed a bright blue.
Before I could grab it from him, Malia snatched it out of his hands and shuts it off with a glare.
"Hey, you came." I say with a smile and she gives a small nod.
"What is she doing here?" Nathan questioned, glancing between Malia and I.
"I asked her to come." My dad spoke up, shutting the bunker door behind him. "And I asked you not to touch anything else."
"Look, how much longer do we have to be down here?" Nathan asked with annoyance as he gestured to everyone else who sat in the room.
"As long as it takes." I answer and my dad nods in agreement, preparing his rifle which causes Nathan's eyes to widen slightly.
"Okay, I'll stay." Malia muttered before she hands my dad the spike a bit too aggressively. "You've shot enough people for one day."
She walks away to stand on the other side of the room but I furrow my brows in confusion. "Uh...what happened between you two?"
"Let's just say she wasn't too happy when I shot her in the leg when me and Melissa were in the woods last night." He murmured.
"You and Melissa were together? Alone...in the woods?" I ask with suspicion. "In the middle of the night?"
"Are you trying to insinuate something?" He narrowed his eyes. "We could go out at night like you kids."
"It's just...weird especially since Scott and I are...actually, I don't know what we are." I clear my throat.
"You doing okay?" He asked with his voice laced with concern. "We haven't gotten the chance to catch up."
I lean against the cemented pillar. "Lately I've been feeling so..." I trail off before I held out my hands. "Lost."
"With what?"
"With everything. Life after high school, choosing whether or not to become a police officer or aim for something higher, and on top of that, trying to remember the people that might have been taken away by the Ghost Riders." I explain before I shake my head with a sigh. "Scott."
"You're worried about Scott?" He asks with concern.
"Well yes...and no." I say, crossing my arms with discomfort. "He said I love you again but...I don't know if I've reached that point yet. How did you know mom was the one?"
He slowly nods. "Well, I can't really tell you if I wanted to. You just sort of...know at the moment. All the troubles that are going on in your life, you can easily pretend they don't exist and all that matters at the moment is them." He pats my arm with a smile. "You don't have to figure it out now. Sometimes it'll take time to find the right moment."
I wrap my arms around him with a sigh. "Thanks, dad."
"How do you know that they can't get in and shoot all of us?" One of the girls that sat in the corner speaks up, causing us to turn. "I'll never graduate. I'll never do anything. This is it!"
"All right, give me the stun gun." Malia huffed as she approached my dad and I.
"Malia." I scold, quickly grabbing the stun gun from my dad so she couldn't take it from him.
He raised a brow. "Can you think of a better, less-seizure-inducing way?"
"Don't any of you get it?" The girl raised her voice. "We are never leaving this place!"
