Storming downstairs I went into the kitchen grabbing the strongest wine we had I grabbed my keys walking towards the door "dad" Hayden yelled but I ignored him I needed to clear my head

I jumped inside the car pulling off quickly after hearing Ryker call my name . I felt helpless I couldn't defend myself against Zack he could've did whatever he wanted to me

Why do I have to be so fragile I couldn't do anything I can't even fucking swim what if he would've threw me into the water I would've drowned

One of them are always coming to my rescue and it's embarrassing.

I opened the bottle of wine drowning some of it if I can't swim I'll just teach myself .

I ended up at the same waterfall Zack held me at I stripped off my clothes leaving me in my boxers I breathe in and out then jumped into the water

I came back up smiling this was easier then I thought then a wave hit me hard making me go under water I tried to pull myself back up but more just kept coming then I felt someone lifting me up

RYKER POV

I don't understand why he isn't ok with being a human being one of us takes to much responsibility plus it's more dangerous he doesn't get that I don't want that life for him I want him to remain human

I had lost Adrian so now I just had to follow his scent it was leading me to the small water fall and I could also smell wine when I got to the small water fall I saw him there drowning I quickly jumped into the water lifting him out

I laid him on the ground softly as he coughed "what the fuck is wrong with you" i yelled at him he pushed me off then stumbled as he tried to get up "let me help you" I told him he pushed me away again "I don't need your help Ryker I can take care of myself" he said looking around for something

"What are you looking for" i asked him "I'm looking for my keys" he said and i scoffed "your not driving" he just looked at me then went back to looking and when he found them he grabbed his clothes walked off as best as you could while drunk "just let me help you Adrian" I saw tears coming from his face

"Why is everyone always trying to help me huh am I that fragile in your world huh Ryker" he asked his words were slurred I shook my head and he chuckled "you don't have to lie how does it feel to have a human mate who can't even defend himself" he asked I picked him up

Vampire speeding to the house "let me go now" he yelled hitting at my back "papa whats going on" Katie asked "nothing go to your rooms" "I said put me down" Adrian yelled i went into the room putting a towel over his head

Cast just stared at us with a raise brow "I can do it myself Ryker fuck off" he tripped then started laughing i helped him up "i said stop it I'm not fucking handy cap" he said pushing me off of him again

"Are you two ok with having a human mate" he asked "of course we are" Casper stated and Adrian shook his head "no your not you don't have to lie" I grabbed him and he tried to move but I held him tighter then I felt him slap me and I moved away I breathe in and out "you two wouldn't like me when I'm old looking wrinkle and can't nut" i chuckled "that doesn't matter" Cast stated

And Adrian laid on the bed "it does you two would still have your hot bodies and I would still be fragile ole Adrian who will die alone and not with his mates" before I could respond he was already asleep I sighed "he's not going to let this go" I told Cast

ADRIAN POV

Waking up to a massive headache is annoying I got out of bed going downstairs to make me something to eat . I climbed on the counter so I could get a bowl out the top cabinet but multiple glasses ended up falling and I ended up getting my hands cut "fuck" i groaned in frustration "Adrian what the hell" Ryker said as he tried to help me up

"I got it I'm fine alright" i told him as I stood up then started taking the glass out my hand "what happened" Katie asked and I shook my head "nothing just go back to doing what you were doing" when i was done with the glass I grabbed keys off the rack "where are you going" Ryker asked and i sighed "Ryker I'm fine ok damn what now I can't go nowhere on my own just leave me alone"

KATIE POV

"Papa what's wrong with daddy" I asked he shook his head "nothing is wrong ok" he tried to smile but I could tell it was fake "papa I'm sixteen I know when something is wrong" I told him he just shook his head chuckling "it's nothing to worry about" he said and i nodded not wanting to push

Last night I heard daddy yelling about him being human then he left with a glass of wine

I didn't want him to feel helpless I didn't want him to feel like he had to become one of us just because one thing happened .
