Hi all!! So this is late of course but I had this idea for a few days.  This is a nod to a past story in this one shot book :)

As Keith sat back watching his wife and oldest son put their plan in place he grinned. It's been months of secretive looks, groans and minor injuries. But based on the looks on their faces, it must be worth it. With Abbey squirming on his lap though he hopes it happens sooner than later.

Keith yells, "Let's go!" Only to be rewarded with an angry frown from her down below the deck that he's on. Chuckling to himself, he winks only to be rewarded with a one finger wave.

Finn pops next to him, "Dad! Stop rushing mom. You know she hates it. It's like when you go to the car and sit there waiting for us to leave. Then mom slams the door and tells you to relax."

Keith chuckles, "Yeah, I know. But I really like teasing your mom."

Matt kicks his chair. "Dude, chill. Pure genius takes time."

Keith laughs, "Yeah Holt, what do you know about pure genius?"

Matt shakes his head, "You have no clue."

Finally, Pidge yells, "Okay! We are ready! Please take a seat. Finn, you know what to do!"

Finn pops up, yelling, "I GOT YOU MOM!!!" He turns off the lights and hit play.

Music fills the air, synchronizing in perfect harmony with the fireworks. It starts off with some glittery ones, then different colors that matches the music. It was breathtaking.

Keith glanced around seeing the awe in everyone's eyes. Matt was grinning, Lance was singing along with the songs and Hunk was feeding his daughter a bottle while humming. This was also the one time all night that all of the kids were standing still...in awe.

After a full 30 minutes, my girl finally climbs up the stairs. Abbey is long gone so she flops in my lap. "Um, babe. Next time, a little gentler."

She cuddles in, "Yeah, sorry I was rushing for you." Ah, elbow.

"No rush."

Suddenly, Sam Holt was standing in front of us. "Katherine Holt Kogane."

Blinking I look to Sam, then down to my wife in my arms. Whispering, "Katie?"

In return, she whispered, "Remember, that Jack O Lantern firework during the old days? Ummmm,"

Keith started laughing...loudly. Everyone looked over, but Keith couldn't manage a word. He kissed the top of her head, "My love, are you saying you lied to me?"
