Feb 10-"All you had to do was ask."

It was a week of fake dating which was feeling more and more like real dating. Keith loved holding her hand, catching meals with her and hearing about her day. Texts, grocery shopping and teasing. Family dinners. As Keith was standing awkwardly in front of Pidge's apartment door he wondered if he should use the key she gave him yesterday. He stood there staring at the door debating when Cosmo just poofed in. Without him. Well hell.

He quickly puts his key in the door and cautiously opened it. He relocked it and flipped the deadbolt-why wasn't the deadbolt already locked? This girl. Looking up, he sees Pidge step out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around her body and her hair wet against her head. Cosmo instantly bowled into her, causing her to yelp and then instantly laugh once she registered it was him. She was kinda leaning against the wall and Cosmo's tail was wagging and he was making some kind of noises that he couldn't ever recall hearing him make before.

Keith couldn't help himself. He just stared. He couldn't quite figure it out. What was it about her he could not shake. She hadn't grown taller. She was still as fit as she was when the war ended which he found ...enticing. She was toned and he knew from Shiro that she still trained. Her hair looked darker wet but he knew that when it dried it would look lighter and have a slight wave.

He noticed that her toenails were painted but not her fingernails. She didn't wear perfume but he could smell the faint scent of her shampoo and whatever else she just used. Keith could even see the freckles that she hated on her shoulders as she bent down to hug Cosmo. Keith smiled and wished he could be as free with her. While the dating was nice, there was also a new level of tension between them and Keith did not know how to make it go away.

As he stepped closer, she finally noticed him and flushing stood. Keith wanted to lean forward and kiss her. He wanted to pull her close. He wanted. He felt a need to lean into these feelings but as her gaze met his shyly, he froze.

"Sorry, I let myself in, after Cosmo let himself in, of course."

Pidge nodded, "Yeah no problem, I did give you a key you know. So um, sorry to take up so much of your time. I'm sure you have stuff you planned to do while on Earth. I, um,"

Keith could not help himself. He leaned closer. And whispered, "You rang."

Pidge blinked. "So, um, yeah, uh, I din't mean you had to come right away. You could have done, um, what,"

Keith grinned, "What do you need?"

"It's just that we've been out a lot and I'm tired. Of feeling like I'm in show. So um, maybe we could just a pizza and movie night. If, um you want. I was going to call you. Since I was staying home, I just figured you could have a night off if you were tired of hanging out with"

Keith moved closer, resisting the urge to kiss her, just barely. He whispered, "All you had to do was ask. I'm all yours."
