The Calm Before the Storm (1)

Chapter 17

 Melina's pov-

I currently have Maddox sleeping with his head on my stomach, Theo sleeping with his head on my chest, Silas is sleeping across my legs and is hugging them and then I have Max who is sleeping next to Silas and is holding my hand. This is anything but comfortable, don't get me wrong, I love all of them and I like cuddling with them but I've been lying here for about eight hours. Both of my legs are asleep, Max has a death grip on my hand, and it's a little hard to breathe when I have two guys sleeping on top of me.

I slowly tried to sit up when Theo whined, " Stop moving Melly." and snuggled further into me.

I let out a sigh, " Sorry." I whispered, he slowly opened his eyes and looked at me, he studied my face as his eyebrows furrowed.

" How long have you been awake?" he asked as he reached his hand up and ran it through my hair.

" Not long, maybe five minutes." I said with a small smile, I couldn't help but let out a slight chuckle as I looked at Theo and his messy hair.

He frowned at my response, " Why're you lying to me Melina?" he said in a slightly louder tone.

" Can you guys shut the fuck up please." Maddox groaned as he tightened his hold around me.

I laughed, " Sorry Maddy."

" I'm serious, how long have you been awake?" Theo said as he sat up and stared at me, this caught Maddox's attention and he opened his eyes and turned his head to look at me, his head was still resting on my stomach.

" I told you Theo." I said in a firm tone.

" I've been awake for over an hour and you were awake when I first woke up, you're fucking lying to me." he snapped.

" Melina, how much sleep did you get last night?" Maddox asked, chiming into the conversation.

" I slept through the night, I didn't know I had already been awake for an hour, I really thought it had only been around five minutes." I lied in a convincing manner.

Theo and Maddox both studied my facial expressions and body language, they eyed me skeptically before Maddox spoke up.

" Promise?" he asked in a serious tone.

" I promise, jeez you guys worry too much." I said with a slight laugh.

Maddox seemed content with my answer and snuggled deeper into my stomach, but Theo kept looking at me skeptically. He shot me a look of disbelief, clearly not believing what I had said.

" Are you okay Theo?" I asked.

" Yeah." he said as he laid back down and snuggled into my chest again.

Enzo's pov-

Melina and I have been getting closer, every night I go into her room and lay with her while I read, kind of like what we used to do as kids. I tried to go to her room last night but when I walked in she was already cuddled up with Max and their friends, I couldn't help but feel a little sad. Ever since I've started laying with her at night I've finally been able to sleep at night. There's just something very relaxing and calming about her presence.

I've noticed that Melina always seems to be awake, I'm getting concerned, she always looks so tired and run down. Even when I went to her room last night everyone was asleep but her, and almost every night I see her downstairs in the middle of the night. I don't know if I should tell Dean, I don't want to be a snitch or anything but I'm also concerned for her health.
