Chapter twelve.

MADEENAH.

He turns to look at me. "I thought you hated me?" He said and I scoff.

"Why would I hate you?" I asked.

"Because of what I did. I figure you wouldn't even want to look at me."

"Sahib what are you saying? You're my best friend, I can never hate you no matter what." I said.

"You were going to report me." He pointed out.

"I didn't mean it Sahib, I just wanted you to feel really bad for what you did and it turns out you are." I said. "You really turned yourself in?"

"I told you, I will do anything for you Madeenah even if it means going to jail." He said.

"I called you."

"After my father bailed me out he grounded me and seized my electronics."

"Who gave you that bruise?" I ask.

"It doesn't matter. I don't wanna talk about it." He said and I didn't push through with the matter because I have heard what I needed to hear.

I ran up to him and hugged him. "Shook have been hell without you asshole." I said earning a deep chuckle from him.

"I think I've suffered worse." He said returning my hug. "Life without you is a mess."

I stand on my tip toes and was about to peck his cheek but instead he turns his head and my lips landed on him.

"Oh my God I'm so sorry." I apologized.

"You don't need too." He said cupping my face.

We were strolling at my favorite bridge again talking.

"What's going on between you and Ayush?" I asked out of the blue.

"Nothing. Why'd ask?"

"No reason. You guys seem pretty close."

"More like she's the one clinging to me. And besides I will never ever like her because I like someone else." He said and I felt my whole body stop. Of course he like someone else, no surprise there, I will forever be just a best friend to him.

It means the kiss did not affect him at all.
