Chapter forty.

"Mummy!" Aya yelled and ran up to me jumping into my arms.

"My baby!" I said and hugged her back.

"Did u by the chocolates?" She asked.

"Yes baby did you finish your homework?" I asked and she nodded showing me her textbook. "Well then here's your price." I said handing her box of chocolates and she giggle and ran into the living room.

"You make me feel so jealous you know." A voice said and I stood up to see my mother standing there.

"Mama.."

"I'm serious. I never treated you like that with so much love you know." She said.

"That's not true. You're the best mother anyone can have and you should know that." I said.

From the way she smiled I could tell she was hiding something.

"Is there something you're not telling me mom?" I asked.

"I haven't told anyone yet. Not even your father." She said.

"Mom.."

"Come let's seat." She said and made her was to the dining table and I followed.

"Well?" I asked.

"I know this is gonna be strange and surprising for you. It's been 21 years I know and it'll be a lot for you to take in. This doesn't mean a woman at her early forties can't have what young people have Madeenah." She said.

"Mom what are you saying?" I asked confused.

"I'm pregnant."

It took me a whole minute to understand what she just said before I choked on my own spit.

"What?!" I yelled.

"You're gonna have a baby sister or brother." She said again with a huge smile on her face.

"So you and dad have been.. ewww!" I said and she smacked my head.

"I don't care if you're in your twenties girl I can still ground you." She said.

"Oh my God I'm gonna have a sibling!" I yelled and jumped up and down.

"What's going on here? What's with all the excitement? What am I missing?" Dad asked multiple questions and he came in with a big smile.

Looking at him it's like he just came back from the gym.

Even at the old age my parents still kept themselves fit and I like that.

I look at mom and she still smiled. "I'll leave you two alone." I said and stood up hugging dad before I left.

I found Aya asleep and took her upstairs to her bedroom and tucked her in before I headed to my room.

I took a long shower and did some skin care before I put on my pajamas ready to sleep. I let my brown hair loose and brushed it.

My hair was around my butt and it was really disturbing so I'll take a mental note to trim it.

I turned around to walk towards by bed and I gasped holding chest.

"What's the freaking problem with people sneaking up on me like that! What are you doing here?" I snapped.

"Enjoying the show." He said calmly as he lauded on my bed hands behind his head.

"Get out right now or I'll scream." I threatened.

"You wouldn't do that." He said and stood up from my bed walking towards me till me was right in front of me.

"W-what makes you think I won't." I stammered.

Before I could sense what was going to happen he grabbed my waist and pulled me close to him.

"Because of this." He said and pressed his lips on mine.

So guys I did a longer chapter. I'll start doing longer chapters from now on since my sense is starting to come back😂

After all my ranting in the next chapter I have decided to finish writing this book.

I'll try my best to finish this book early so I can start writing new books.

We're getting closer to the end guys.
