Chapter twenty five.

MADEENAH.

Just words and one mistake.

Words ruined us. After I told Sahib to get out of my life he did just as I said.

He left and never came back even to beg for forgiveness or explain himself. Am a girl and after hearing that kind of news how does he expect me to react?

I have emotions.

I never saw him at school or anywhere. It was like he just vanished.

I was so worried and cried over night. The later on I heard the worst news. Sahib left for London to take care of his fathers company.

He left me and our baby alone. He abandoned us without and goodbye or anything.

Fuck him! I hate him! And I would never forgive him for what he did to me.

That day I broke lots of things in my room that my step mother came in and started yelling. I didn't even notice her that o almost threw a glass on her.

She got mad and kicked me out.

I was stranded and had no where to go that I was on the streets with the bag of clothes she threw at me. I couldn't go to my mothers house because I wouldn't want to see the disappointment on her face.

"Hello?" A voice said and I look up to see a man who looked like he was in his early twenties sat beside me but gave a comfortable space.

I didn't answer but just looked down.

"My name is Adnan." He said and I still kept mute. "I've noticed that you've been out here for ours since I came with my mother. Do you have anywhere to go since you're out here pregnant with your bags."

"I'm fine." I said curtly.

"That's the biggest lie girls always say." He said. "If you need help I can help you."

"And why would you want to do that? What if I'm a serial killer or something?" I ask.

"You don't look like one. You're young and beautiful. Are you married?"

"No I'm not.  The bastard father abandoned me, I hate him so much that-" I stop mid sentence as I realize I'm talking to a stranger.

"Why'd you stop?"

"Because you're a stranger."

"But you can still talk to me-"

"Leave me alone!" I yelled. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to I don't know if it's the pregnancy I'm so sorry."

"No problem. I'm a doctor so I know these things. You must be hungry. My mom and I can take you with us home if you want to?"
