"She's doing great. But also not great." He answered.

"How come? Has anything bad happened to her?" I asked sitting up quickly.

"Calm down. I mean she's doing well with her life, she now works in a fashion company and is earning a lot." He said and I was happy to hear that my girl is doing I'm

"Did you do as I asked?"

"Yes. I made sure no men even come near her or look at her." He said and I smiled in satisfaction. "You know I'm not your assistant right?"

"I know that. You're just doing what any cousin will do." I said and he rolled his eyes.

"When will you come back." He asked.

"I have fixed a date. It'll be a surprise." I said and he nodded.

"Well I'd be going back to Dubai tonight."

"Hope you have a safe flight." I said and have him a brotherly hug before he left.

I was now alone in my office and I felt so sleepy that I decided to close my eyes for a second until my door burst open.

"Who the hell-"

"Watch your language!" A feminine voice snapped and I knew exactly who it was.

I opened my eyes to see my mother as expected. I haven't seen mom in a long time.

"Mama." I say and stood up from my office chair to hug her. "I've missed you."

"Miss you too bob." She said. That's the nickname she always called me.

I walked her to the sofa for her to sit so we could have a chat. "Mom you never told me you were coming to England." I said.

"I wanted to give you a surprise visit. I needed to see how you're doing." She said pinching my cheek. "My baby is 22 and all grown up. But you're still my little baby."

I resist the urge to roll my eyes because if I do I will receive a slap that would last me to my grave.

"So what brought you to England?" I asked.

"I needed to talk to you." She said.

"Okay I'm listening."

"I demanded for a divorce from your father." She said.

This was the best news I've heard for years. About damn time she should leave that monster.

"And?"

"He refuses to give me the divorce begging me that he'll change his ways." She said and I scoff.

"Mom do not give into whatever he says because even I don't buy it. He's going to make you forgive him and then he'll hurt you over and over again." I reasoned.

I love my mother so much but she can be gullible at times but I don't blame her because the way my father is manipulative anyone will buy it but I don't.

"I know. He's been sending me flowers and taking me out to dinner and begged me for forgiveness." She said and I almost laughed at that statement.

"Mom he's trying to buy your trust back. Please mama if he doesn't give you the divorce then take him to court."

You know what? After writing this chapter I'm going to write a new book so stay tuned guys.

It's going to be a psycho mystery/thriller almost like ASAD but better.

I wrote ASAD like two years ago and it was typical nonsense 😂 but that doesn't mean you shouldn't read it👀

Anyways I have started planning my next book and I hope it will be successful 😭 and you guys will read it.
