Later on that evening, King Henry decided to host a celebration feast to announce the engagement between his son Charles and Madeleine. The people of the royal court and the English countrymen had arrived chatting and dancing with one another in the throne room.

"Good evening, you look absolutely ravishing" Francis whispered his lips briefly touching Hope's ear causing a beaming smile to appear on her lips as she spun around to face Francis, "you really are the most exquisite and gorgeous woman in the room."

Hope couldn't help but roll her eyes letting out a chuckle as she shoved him gently and muttered, " shut up. I bet you say that to all the girls" Francis smiled down at Hope with a shake of his head as he looked at her with a look of adoration on his face holding out his hand, " Hope, would you do me the honour of being my dance partner?"he asked with a playful smirk on his face.

Her cheeks coated in pink as she looked up at Francis with a nod of her head and answered, " I'd love to" Hope entwined their fingers together as she could feel sparks enlighten her whole body as she dragged him towards the dance floor mixing themselves with other couples on the floor, their eyes never leaving one another.

The musicians started to play a beautiful melody, and like every other couple dancing, they bowed at one another. Francis pressed a soft kiss to her hand before their palms were placed against each other and blue eyes were connected with ocean blue ones. Their feet began to move to the ballad walking around in circles with their palms of their hands touching before they switched from hand to hand, their bodies moving across the floor gracefully

Hope couldn't help but stare into his eyes as everyone seems to fade and the only person that had her attention was Francis unaware of the attention that was brought on the two. "Do you think Francis loves her?" Mary curiously questioned her friends as her eyes were locked on the pair that was dancing in the middle of the dance floor. Anyone could see them chemistry and the love the two of them had for one another by just looking at them.

"Well, they look so happy together. I've heard some servants speak about the two. They've been together for quite some time now" Kenna informed with a smile on her lips as she watched the couple dance as he grabbed her hand and spun her around before pulling her right into his chest as she looked from his eyes to his lips before leaning forward and pressing her lips against his.

Francis grabbed the back of her head kissing her with so much passion as she wrapped her arms around his neck not bothered about the eyes that were on them before the two of them pulled away reading their foreheads against one another with smiles on their faces as Francis stoked the back of the auburn haired girl cheeks with a look of love and awe on his face.

Mary held a saddened and heartbroken expression on her face as she turned her gaze away from the couple and towards to the floor when suddenly Simon walked over towards the Queen of Scotland as he greeted her with a false smile on his face causing Mary to narrow her eyes at him suspiciously and curiously questioned, "Your English, Lord Westbrook, but you say that you did not come with warship? You reside in France?"
