PROLOGUE

BRYLE'S POV

"According to everyone in town, you're in another country — continent, actually," narinig kong sabi ng isang babaeng bigla na lang umupo sa tabi ko.

My eyebrows furrowed. "Excuse me, but do I know you?"

She smiled mysteriously. "Of course not.

My eyes grew wider. "Tine... Are you one of my schoolmates?" She nodded, still looking at the sky. Oh hell... Does that mean that Jairo knows? Does... does Kristine know?

I couldn't help but squint my eyes. "Why? How?"

She shrugged. "I'm an awesome stalker," sabi niya na para bang hindi weird ang sinabi niya.

"Stalker? My stalker?" She nodded again. "And you're not even denying it?"

She faced me and frowned. Ngayon ko lang nakita ang mukha niya. If she's a schoolmate, she doesn't ring a bell. She has this brown hair with blonde highlights. Brown eyes underneath the rectangular glasses she's wearing. And she's wearing a mask.

Why is she wearing a face mask?

"Ba't ka ganyan makatingin?"

I was pulled out of my reverie. "What do you mean?"

"You look like you're judging me simply because I'm wearing a face mask," she sounded bored, and yet her voice hints sarcasm.

I shook my head. "Who are you again?"

The girl rolled her eyes and I heard her sigh. "I'm Randle Miñoza, and I like you."

She did not flinch nor sounded shy about it — then again, she sounded bored. "Yung pangalan mo... panlalake," I couldn't help but notice.

I quickly received a glare from her.

I returned her glare. "For someone who confessed her feelings to me, you don't seem to care whether I'll like you too or not."

She just shrugged and faced the scene in front of us. "What can I say? I'm unique as hell." Randle then turned her head to me again. "Besides, I only confessed to letting you know that you're still appreciated." Her expression turned into a frown. "But now, I kinda regret confessing. Doesn't change a fact I guess."

"Where are you going?"

Nilingon niya ako. "None of your godd*mn business."

Someday, Tine... I'll forget my feelings for you. Someday.
