"Kazuha"

I silently said while softly poking against the males cheek who was long asleep with his head laying on my lap — the two of us alone on a flower field far away from the villages or cities. Only some travelers would pass by at some points, just that the only thing that they would see, was Kazuha sleeping there alone. The white haired male was the only one who could witness my presences since a few years already — since the moment my last day beneath the living ones has come to an end.

Ever since that day, Kazuha was the only person who saw me like I would still be a living being while others didn't even noticed the presence of something or someone around.

"Kazuha, wake up"

I repeated his name, still poking against his cheek as the male finally seemed to wake up — his still tired red eyes finally visible as I couldn't help but smile at him, just to receive a smile from Kazuha in return as well.

"We really shouldn't stay here for that long. Don't forget that you're a wanted criminal here in Inazuma"

I said, stroking a few of his hair strands behind his ear as the male however didn't seemed to move any second before he spoke up himself.

"But I like it here with you. Let's just stay for... 5 minutes, okey?"

Kazuha said, still visible tired as he took my hand that still rested beside his face, placing it against his cheek as the male leaned his head into the touch before closing his eyes again. I couldn't help but laugh the slightest to see how carelessly Kazuha was. He seemed like there wasn't anything that should stress him — like the world was frozen in time without any problems or danger, like he wasn't a searched criminal in this nation who I needed to hide and escape if all costs.

It was the thing that fascinated me the most when I first met Kazuha — so that I wanted to stay by his side even after death, and now here am I, even after years still lingering around him.

"Stupid Kazuha, stupid"

"Oi"

He silently grumbled, staring at me with one eye open what only caused me to laugh once again as the male suddenly got up with his upper body, pushing me to the ground as he hold me on my shoulders, causing me to immediately stop laughing.

Kazuha just looked down at me with a tiny smile for a moment before he let himself fall to the side, laying beside me in the field of flowers while we looked up at the bright blue sky, watching how the small white clouds passed by before the male laid his hand on mine so they intertwined.

"( Y/N ), can you promise me one thing?"

"Hm? Sure, what is it?"

"...promise that you will stay by my side, would you?"

Kazuha asked, just as I noticed his gaze one me, causing me to turn my head towards him as well before answering with a smile.

"From now till forever"

It was fun writing it tbh so I just hope that you like it as well, especially if your the one who requested it 🙋‍♀️
