Chapter 24:

“What did you say?” Jimin asked, unsure if he heard me right. I let go of him and stepped back, I wiped my tears with my sleeve and looked him straight in the eyes.

“I’m leaving for Seoul” I told him again “I auditioned for SM Entertainment and I got in” I told him, the last part in a whisper, his eyes grew wide and his jaw dropped.

“That’s amazing!” he said then pulled me into a hug again, after a few seconds he broke apart again, sadness written all over his face, he must have realized I’m leaving and may not come back. “What about V?” he asked, I shook my head in response.

“I’m not giving this up, not even for Taehyung” I told him, his expression went from sad to devastated. I couldn’t help but feel guilty at the sight of him.

“Lei, don’t leave, please!” he said placing his hands on my shoulders and shaking me slightly, there was desperation in his voice “BTS will be devastated if you leave, especially V, especially me!” he said, I bit my lip, I don’t know what to tell him, I really don’t.

“I’m sorry Jimin” I told him “Please don’t tell Taehyung about this” I begged, he did not respond. I just hope he doesn’t tell him, I just want to leave unannounced. I then headed inside the mansion to prepare, leaving Jimin in the gates, dumbfounded.

I sat down in my soon to be former room, I grabbed a piece of paper and pen and started writing my letter of resignation. I’m honestly going to miss this place, being able to work here was an experience of a life time and even just for a short time, atleast I got to spend time with Taehyung, the real Taehyung, not the jerk V but the Kim Taehyung I first fell inlove with.

As I finished writing my letter of resignation, I placed it on an envelope and hid it in my top drawer, ready to be handed in the morning. I got up from my seat and headed for the kitchen, better spend my last days here working.

As I was walking in the hallway, I bumped into Taehyung, he just stared at me then looked down, ashamed. I just walked passed him pretending like he doesn’t exist as I was a few feet away from him, he called me out.

“Lei!” he said to me, I froze at the middle of the hall way, waiting for what he has to say “I’m sorry” was all he said to me

“I’m sorry too” I said lowly, but loud enough to be heard, he gave me a questioning look but I just brushed it off and continued walking towards the kitchen.

I couldn’t help but feel like I’m going to regret leaving, why is that? Being a part of SM Entertainment is a lifelong dream but now that it’s here, I feel like it’s just not for me.

Ah! Really! I must be going crazy! How can I feel that way? No matter what, I’m joining SM Entertainment!

Jimin’s POV:

I called Jungkook, Jin, Rapmon, JHope and Suga over at my house for some advice, I was really going crazy! My plan completely backfired! How am I going to get them back together now? If she leaves V will be completely devastated.

“What’s up?” Rapmon said as he entered the living room with the rest of the guys behind him, I then gestured them to sit down and they did just that.

“Dude you look horrible” Suga pointed out, I just ignored him and told them the real situation from the very start.

All their jaws were wide open from my story, they were dumbfounded, I didn’t know if they were disappointed with me toying with a girl’s emotion, I for one am not even sure if I’m a good guy or a bad guy.

“I think you should tell V” Jin told me, they all nodded at his suggestion, but I don’t know? What will V do if I told him she’s leaving the day after tomorrow?

“You guys know V is crazy about this girl, what do you think he’ll do if she leaves?” I asked them, they all looked at each other and shrugged. I, V’s closest friend, doesn’t even know how V will react if he found out.

 “Well it’s better than Lei leaving forever without notice” Jungkook said.

“He’s right” JHope said “that would be even more painful”
