'Huh? wait look, Phoebe look. isn't that mother? that mortal, she looks exactly just like Mother!' I said telepathically to talk to Phoebe. 'Y-You're right Princess. But how could that be possible' Phoebe said, confused as I was. 'Hmm... Let's go, Phoebe, Let's follow her.'

'B-but Princess w-wait. It's illegal in this world to just follow someone, it's a crime they call stalking.' Pheobe said, quite nervous at my suggestion. 'So? We won't go to jail if we get caught or just approach her for help.'

'What do you think is this place, Phoebe?' I said rather flustered at the unfamiliar place in front of us. Police Station, it read upfront with some weird blue cap logo. 'I also don't know Princess, but look they have prison cells here this must be the guard's station.' Phoebe said, coming to a conclusion of what this strange place was. 'Okay then.' I said preparing myself to go inside.

"Um, Excuse me. I-I think I'm lost." I said to the man at the front desk. "Hey Dear. Are you with someone you know, you're friends maybe?" Said the lady who looked like my mother. so she must be a guard here then. I wonder who her master is...

"N-no. I'm not with anyone" I lied. Well not entirely, I am alone as Phobe is invincible to everyone else but me unless she lets herself be seen. "Oh, is that so... Hmm, then what can I help you with, dear?" The woman said, trying to be polite and professional.

"I, um, ran away from home, and I--" I said. Lying. "Kids these days, really," she whispered, though I could still hear her through faint and vague.

"So, would you like to stay here for the night?" She added. Trying to stay calm in my situation. I mean, every parent must be infuriated to see a child run away from home yet still thankful that their child didn't right?

"May I?" I said, acting unsure just to not seem too pushy about it. "Um, yeah of course." "T-thank you, Ma'am. It's just that I have yet to find accommodation, and all of my friends refused to let me stay at their houses for a few days, Ma'am." I said. Yes! I guess as long as I'm useful around here then I don't have to worry about my lodgings.

"It's fine. Just call me Clarise, Hmm?" The woman said as she smiled genuinely at me. "O-okay then, Clarise."

Suddenly there was some shouting from men that entered. "Captain, these sick drunkards kept starting fights with everyone that comes by them down there on the street." Said a guy in the same uniform as Clarise. "Ha, it's started. You just stay there okay." Walking out to see what was commotion all about.

"Okay, Clarise," I shouted just enough for her to hear. "Hey, hey, stop! I said stop! Enough! All of you!Ouch! Damn!" Clarise yelled, trying to break the fight, but she was injured by the bottle the drunk man was holding. "H-hey I said stop it will you!" She shouted once more, trying to make them stop, though still bleeding.

"What is it to you, huh?! Bitch! You stay out of this! You're just a mere sissy here! Dear, this is the big brothers' fight I'll talk with you later. How about a drink just you and me?" The drunk man said, but before he could even touch Clarise I dashed in the middle of both of them.

"Dare touch her and I'll break both of your hands into thousands of pieces," I said through gritted teeth while glaring at him. "Hahaha! Would you look at this pretty lad we have here, protecting your mom, eh?"

"Correction, she's not my mother, but it's all the same, whoever she is I'm still breaking your arm if you dare do anything to her," I said while smirking at this man's foolishness. "Haha! Okay, I'll leave miss police officer here, if you be her replacement. How 'bout that?" He said while disgustingly winking, or rather, it looks more like he has a tick in his eye.

"I don't think that would be possible how could you hold a glass with broken arms, Hmm?" I said looking at him in the eye. "Oh yeah? How do you suppose you'll be able to break my arms?" He said. Amusement was evident in his eyes.

"I don't know. Like this maybe?" I said while torturingly twisting his right arm. The same arm holding the broken glass that he used to harm Clarise. I heard the crowd around us gasp in horror. "W-what the--?! H-how did you do that?! Ow! Fuck! Let go you fucking lunatic!" He said as he ran away from me screaming his lungs out the moment I let go of him.

"Clarise are you okay?" I asked, instantly running to check on her. "H-huh? Oh yeah yeah of course. But please in the future, since I have a feeling you'll be staying here for quite some time, please don't do that. You could not only be sued for assault but also hurt from those fights, you know?" She said sounding worried about my well-being.

"But with that aside, how did you do that?" She asked after she put some medicine on her wound, thankfully it wasn't that deep, just a simple scratch. The shock written all over her face made me giggle a little bit. "Why are you laughing?" She said flustered about my reaction. "Well, it just that your face says shock all of it," I said as I giggled again. "And for your first question, well, I was just trained a lot as a kid, it was like some kind of olden family tradition of ours," I explained.

"Oh ok then, I understand. Oh right, here, you could sleep in my bed, I'm on night shift today so, you can take the bed." She said as she led me to their boarding quarters.

"Ok, um ... thank you," I said. "I promise I'll help around here as much as I can and won't be a burden to you all," I said, truly grateful for the help she offered. "Yeah sure, thanks as well, for you know earlier. Though I felt offended as a policewoman when you protected me but I know you meant good so, yeah thanks!"

"You're welcome! And if there's anything I can do to help just tell me as a way of me paying you back." I said While waving at her as she was exiting the room to attend to her duties. "Sure..."

I placed my luggage down and unpacked the necessities I needed for the night. When I finished doing so, I breathed a sigh of relief. I just have to continue to keep an eye on Clarise and I also have to find a way to earn money for my stay here, as well as do my real job here. Again I breathed another deep sigh.

Oh, Phoebe I just hope we can get by in this world as commoners now, it is indeed different from how we were in the castle but I need this right now Phoebe, and I will stick to my decision...
