Some time away

Maya's POV

It had been exactly 2 weeks since the death of Annabelle and it had really hit me hard, I was just so angry, angry at the world, when carina had told me she had died, I just ended up throwing that mug, i was so mad, I could not help it. But now I have a problem, I think Carina is scared of me, she hardly talked too me and we've been on opposite schedules and I've missed her, so when we had a few hours together in the house, alone, I went into hug her from behind and as soon as i touched her she jumped and said she had to go for a food shop, and it's not the first time it happened. I just feel so bad and I don't know how to make it better, my wife is scared of me, and i don't know what to do or say to her.

On the day of Annabelle's death we were talking about taking a trip and since we were not speaking I decided ti surprise carina and Gabriella with a trip. I noticed that Gabriella has a week off school next week so I decided to book it for then. I spoke to dr Bailey and she agreed to book carina off work for that week and that she would not tell her. I was getting so excited about this trip.

Carina's POV

"Hey baby can we talk?" Maya says to me as she walks over to me and sits in the arm chair. "Sure what's up ?" I say as I place down my laptop. "Well actually that's what I wanted to ask you." She says to me. "What's up with what ?" I ask. "You, ever since I threw that mug and stormed out of your office you have barely spoken to me or touched me, and when I touched you you flinched. Are you scared of me ?" She asks me as I look at her shocked. "I- bambina, I could never be scared of you, you are my wife and my best friend, I just- I got a little shocked when you throw that mug across the room, you are so strong and that mug when flying so fast, and your eyes, there was just this fire in them and I wasn't sure what you were going to do next...." I was saying to her before she interrupted me. "I knew it I knew it, I'm tiring into my father, this is what I was afraid was" she said to me as tears were huh going down her face. "No no no no no Bella, don't you say that ever ever again" I say as sit on the arm of the arm and take her hands in him. "You are nothing like your father what so ever, you are not abusive, you don't shout and you don't get mad at Gabriella. You just get a bit angry that's all and everyone does, but I know and you know that you would never hurt me or Gabriella in a million years, you never push and your always there" I say to her as I wipe away her tears. "And I'm sorry that I've been distance, I promise I won't be anymore, you didn't do anything to me, work was just so stressful and I'm sorry, I love you bella" I say as we both kiss. "I love you too" she says back as she pulls me into her legs.

An hour later and I was still sat in Maya's lap when my phone buzzed, it was my schedule for the up coming week. So I took my phone out of my back pocket and looked at my schedule, but I didn't have one, I was off every day. "You okay baby?" Maya asks me. "I'm just looking at my schedule and I'm not scheduled, they must have made a mistake" I tell her. "Well actually there is no mistake, I asked Bailey not to put you on the schedule!" She says. "Why?" I question her. "Well because you, Gabriella and I are all going on vacation" she says to me. "Really" I question her. "Really baby, I'm never joke about anything like this, we going away for the week!!" She told me as I gave her the biggest hug and the most passionate kiss. "Where are we going ?" I question her. "Now that is a surprise until we get there ?" She says. "But how do I know what to pack ?" I ask. "Well I'm going to help you" she says to me.

It was now a week later and me Maya and Gabriella were ready to go on our trip, me and Gabriella still not knowing where we are going. "Mom I do love a good surprise but please tell me where we are going !!!" Gabriella said as we got in the car. "Come on Maya even I don't know where we are going" I said to her. "Not until we get there, I promise it's going to be good" Maya said as she drove off down the street.

"Are we nearly there yet" Gabriella moaned from the back seat as we were speeding down the high way.
"Almost beauti-" Maya was saying before she slammed on the breaks.

"BANG"

So sorry this took me so long to update I've just had no time to myself these past few weeks since I've been working and doing a social action project where I ended up raising enough money to buy over £600 worth of food for my local food bank.

And next week I return to school so updates will probably only happen once a week
