  royce laid down next to hawk on the hospital bed, "thank you,for everything hawk."

"only you, babe," hawk gave her a kiss on the forehead and snuggled him more, until it was time for him to leave.

"hey dad," royce greeted her father as he sat down next to her.

"hey rory, how are you feeling?", johnny rubbed his daughter hand.

"i'm feeling better. but i got something to say" she smiled.

"yeah baby?",

"i'm taking a break from karate until i feel good enough to be in it again."

"that's okay."

"it'll be okay, we'll be okay. he's gonna be okay."

johnny nodded and put his head on royce's hospital bed, crying softly as she rubbed his hair.

royce was dismissed from the hospital after 3 days, getting ready, she put a beanie on and some baggy clothes.

she dreaded going back to school. she wasn't with her bestfriend.

royce's phone rung, she picked up.

"hello?",

"royce?! royce oh my." lily's panicked voice could be heard on the other side of the phone.

"hey lily,"

"are you okay? i heard about what happened."

"i'm fine lils, i'll visit your work later. i got to go."

"okay, love you royce."

"love you too."

royce entered the school, looking around. avoiding the staircase.

she bumped into somebody. "watch where you're- royce?".

"hawk," she whispered as he hugged her tightly.

"hey bert," royce hugged the smaller boy as he came up to the rest.

"hey mitch," royce greeted. he nodded.

"oh look that's the guy who wets the bed and the girl who got kicked into the trophy case", a freshman girl laughed as she went by.

hawk, n royce clenched their jaws. royce walked forward but was pulled back by hawk.

"don't listen to them."

"same goes for you, ugly." she kissed him deeply as mitch and bert smirked at the two.

royce spotted demetri walking by with chris, she walked towards them as the boys behind her followed.

"hey, metri. i wanted to thank you for helping." she hugged him as he did the same.

"of course rory," he smiled.

royce's fear happened. one of her classes is upstairs.

she inhaled deeply as she grabbed the railing, getting flashbacks of miguel falling down.

royce felt a hand on her shoulder as she started breathing heavily.

"hey, you okay?", demetri rubbed the girls back.

royce nodded, "i'm fine." she put on a fake smile.

"hello?", royce answered.

"hey mama, uh miguel's awake." carmen informed her son's bestfriend.

"oh my. im on my way. thank you."

"yes mija, he wants to see you."

"tell him, i'll be there soon."

"hello. i'm here to see miguel diaz."

"are you family?"

"y-yes. i'm his cousin."

the receptionist nodded, "go ahead."

royce sped walked to miguel's room and looked through the door. she spotted miguel smiling brightly as he spoke to his mom and grandma.

she knocked softly, making the adults in the room turn to the door.

carmen motioned her head to come inside, "miggy, someone's here to see you."

royce smiled as she walked infront of miguel's bed, "hey miggy".

"royce." miguel's soft voice entered her ears.
