"austin!" abi burst into her best friend's bedroom, slamming the door behind her. austin looked up from his spot on the bed, shooting her an unamused look.
"what?" he asked. abi jumped onto the bed.
"we have a problem." she said. austin frowned.
"okay?" he replied, clearly waiting for more information.
"read this." she threw her phone at the older boy, watching as he read through the texts she had been sending with their other roommate.
"i knew it! you do like him!" austin exclaimed, a grin appearing on his face.
"what? no." abi denied, silently cursing that austin knew her so well.
"you so do. you were flirting with him which means you like him. plus i saw you giving him the eyes like two days after we moved in. and last week after we went to the beach and i found him in your room?" austin replied, a teasing smile on his face.
"i wasn't flirting!" abi lied. austin raised an eyebrow. "okay maybe i was a little. but can you blame me? he's fucking hot. plus for like 12 hours a day i have to pretend to be in love with him and shove my tongue in his mouth."
"first of all, gross. second of all, what are you gonna do? and what is the problem?" austin handed her phone back to her. abi sighed.
"the problem was that i like him." she admitted. austin grinned widely.
"oh so you admit it." he questioned, dodging abi's hand as she hit at him.
"yes dickhead, i admit it. i've got a crush on him." she groaned.
"so once again, what are you gonna do about it?" he asked.
"nothing." she sighed, flopping down next to austin. "absolutely nothing."
"you can't do nothing. i know you can't." austin rolled over, resting his head on her shoulder. abi bit her lip, reaching out to run her hand through his hair.
"yes i can." she said, determination clear in her tone. "you just watch me."
