abi took a deep breath, staring out into the dark night as she stood on the balcony of their apartment, the sounds of her castmates and her brother playing mario kart muffled by the closed door. she shut her eyes, just taking in the cool night air, not even noticing the screaming getting louder
"did you mean what you said?" drew's voice came and abi startled, turning to face the other boy in confusion.
"hmm?" she questioned. he gestured to his phone.
"that i can upgrade from best boy." he said. she smiled.
"obviously." she replied. "otherwise i wouldn't have said it."
"okay." he smiled. abi grinned, linking her hand through his.
"yeah?" drew nodded, squeezing her hand lightly.
"yeah."
